Nice to see the Tacoma Stars brand still around. I went to Stars games in the mid 80's when I lived up there. I remember when coach Bob McNab returned from a scouting trip to Yugoslavia, bringing back a young player that he had signed after seeing him play in an indoor tournament. That player was Predrag Radosavljević, who will all know as Preki. Though he is known by most for his outdoor game, he was an incredible indoor talent.

Its actually kind of cool to see those old indoor soccer names and logos still hanging around. The Blast, Ambush, Sockers Ambush and Comets.

To think , from the time of 1985-1995, those were the only real professional soccer teams who were serious about the pro game. I'm glad that the indoor game has found a niche but we should be thankful the outdoor game is at the forefront once again.

I remember Preki when he played for the Grizzlies at San Jose. He was a real magician on the astrofurf.

I still expect to see Gjoey coaching, probably either with Ian in Reno or with one or our or Shittle's youth sides. He's a nice guy, has a good head on his shoulders. And he and Ian are buds.

    Go Quakes!!

Like JJ Koval. I guess they both decided a career in the medical field will be more lucrative. It will also pay the bills a lot more than what MLS will offer for the future.

I thought James Riley was working as MLS's director of player relations? He must not have been able to cut it...

Probably won't see him make an appearance here, though, since nobody will care enough to ask what he's up to after he's gone.

Yeah I read he wanted a longer contract if he were to take the Galaxy job and that’s why he turned them down.
