So is there a separate Sons of Ben forum outside of BigSoccer?

There's one through the SoB website, but everytime i've checked in on it it's about as dead as this one.

Maybe once the season starts again and we drink the beer at the tailgates (that was sorely missed last year) things will pick up again...; that Octoberfest Spaten at the last tailgate was absolutely ace!

It never really picked up to begin with. Even during the season there were less then a handful of posts every week.

So how are things like tifos, tailgates, trips etc centrally coordinated then? I ask because I'd really like to help out.

A lot of the SOB elders are Clairovoyant. They will get back to you shortly.

    Well, that's convenient.

I ticked the box for helping out with tailgates when I registered, hopefully someone reaches out.

Monthly SOB emails usually ask for help. You should get the first one of 2013 soon to tell us more about the first tail gate, etc. (if you don't get one before the first game send an email to them and let them know). Then several sections (and the SOB's) are on Facebook. Section 138 is a group called 'we are 138'. SOBs are 'Sons of Ben'. Our Facebook group usually calls out for help when a new TIFO needs to be made. TIFO's are section specific. Some sections are more active than others.

There's an @SoB Tifo twitter account you could follow and converse with, if you haven't already.

The only tifo I'm really interested in is the Baky soumare milk carton. But that's a you and me project if it happens.

Hopefully I get that email and I can help out with the KC tailgate.

I actually had tickets for the managers row for the DC game last year. The best part was we actually got to eat at a private table in the club and from the players pre game spread. My tix were free as well! image.jpg

...and no I did not do any brown nosing to get them! They were given to me by a friend of a friend.

That fabric behind your tickets is almost - almost - as badass as UnionFreak1 's quilt.

    Sensitive much?

    Kidding, of course.

What Im not kidding about is i would like to know is what the shrimp selection was like for the players pregame spread? Is it just the guys who can't make the bench that eat the shrimp or does everyone get in on the shrimp before the game?
