Does anyone know of a Spanish or Italian cafe that might be airing this game in the Philadelphia area? I tried looking here in Bigsoccer for a bar/cafe listing in the United States, but had trouble finding it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the help Motterman, although when my bro and I saw Arsenal -Roma (and some Inter-Newcastle) there yesterday, the staff said they were only going to show Man U. - Basle.

    But thanks again.

p.s. Did you copy that from a soccer pub database?

www.soccertv.com has the list of pubs, and they also have the list of matches being shown by Setanta, unfortunately Milan - Madrid isn't on their list.

One of our local pubs in the DC area is getting the match, but he gets alternate feeds sometimes, so I can't really help you with this one mate. Sorry...

I just got a tip that there's this pizzeria in North Philly that has a satellite airing Italian games. Hope they have it.

But thanks again, Motterman, for the assistance. That database link could come in handy again in these travel ventures.

And if anyone else knows more football pubs links, feel free to post them. Ciao.

Fado Irish Pub, 1500 Locust St. 215-893-9700. They show Scottish league games and it is home the Philadelphia Fado Celtic Supporters' Club.

    *************
Excerpt of an article from USSOCCERPLAYERS.COM article:

So where can Philadelphia soccer fans watch games? Luckily, there are several soccer-friendly pubs in the city. The best-established is The Dark Horse, formerly The Dickens Inn, just off of South St. The Dark Horse shows English and Scottish Premiership games every weekend, and was packed to the gills for most World Cup games this summer, including each game of the U.S. run to the final eight. Until recently, this was really the only bar where you could catch a game. This has changed. Fado Irish Pub opened an outpost approximately three years ago at 15th and Locust in Center City, and shows Premiership games every weekend cover-free. It is also the home of the Philadelphia Fadó Celtic Supporters' Club, and shows every Celtic game live.

One more addition to the Center City viewing lineup, Tir na Nog, opened in October at 16th and Arch. The bar and restaurant in the Phoenix Building across from Love Park shows Premiership games each weekend and is slowly building a following.

Only the rights of the CL games involved English teams have been purchased for closed-circuit telecast in the U.S. In other words, it means Arsenal, Man U and Newcastle. No one has got the U.S. rights for Real Madrid x Milan. It's available on TSN (English) and RDS (French) in Canada and ESPN Latin America in Mexico. If you have a grey-market Canadian or Mexican DBS in the U.S., you can catch that game. Well, lots of bars in soccer crazy regions in the country do but they don't publicize about it. I think Nevada Smith in Manhattan is one of the rare ones that do. Telling the world that you have a gray market system, and in particular, build your business around it, is not a good idea.

All those links to pubs that show Setanta close-circuit games are useless, because Setanta doesn't have the rights of Real Madrid x Milan. They only have the rights of games involving Arse/Manu/Toons.
