Ex Rev Nick Firmino, now with Atlanta United, scored a stoppage time goal to salvage a 2-2 draw with NYCFC.
On a short-term call up from ATL2, he makes the most of his opportunity: WELCOME TO @MLS, NICK FIRMINO 😱 pic.twitter.com/lESINd4oo2— Atlanta United FC (@ATLUTD) June 22, 2023 Although the NYC defending gives me Burns flashbacks... He is second in MLS Next Pro with 8 goals this year.
Revolution immortal Ismael Tajouri-Shradi is back in MLS with Minnesota, and has one goal in two games.

He played his first game with Forest vs. Arsenal at his old home. He got a nice welcome from the Arsenal fans and posted a tweet appreciating their support. Overall I think it will be a good move, since he only played a handful of games last year for the Gunners.
I don’t see it in the last 20 or so posts so I assume it is not here. Adam Buksa is off in ANTALYASPOR https://www.rclens.fr/fr/pros-adam-buksa?saison=8694 That is kind of disappointing to me. Loan with option to buy after an injury ridden first campaign. Also a shame because Lens actually made it to the Champions League this year.
Jumped the sinking ship. Ironically this is the first time I've heard his voice. I was under the impression that he didn't speak English due to my never seeing him interview while with the Revs.
Zero words of thanks to the club who got him exposure, nor the fans who supported him. I can only imagine what happened behind closed doors.
He was being interviewed by Chelsea for Chelsea fans. So he talked about being a goalkeeper for Chelsea.
His English has gotten a lot better. I remember an earlier interview from last year where he was able to say quite a few of the "usual" things, but there was a question that he clearly didn't follow and answered about something else, and I remember Brad Feldman saying something like how hard it can be to do interviews in your 3rd language. Yeah, it would have been nice to throw us a bone, but while Chelsea fans are less interested in where he came from, if people in England scratch slightly below the surface, they know that 2 outstanding keepers have come from the same club in the past year.
It's nothing against him, but I expected nothing else. Normally when keepers head towards the Fort, they smile, they clap, they enjoy the applause being thrown at them. Since Day 1, Petrovic handled it as a business. He'd give a wave and then get down to business. That's all the Revs were for him. This is why I kept saying he'd leave the first opportunity he got, this wasn't personal to him.
Yeah, I get all that. I think I'm just very butthurt about the whole thing and if it's linked to the Bruce comments it's a damned shame.
You've articulated exactly how I feel about it. I loved what he did for the team, but I never felt anything near the connection that our other keepers had with the supporters. The biggest thing I guess was the clean-sheet donut routine. But, I'm sure PR things like that are written into the contracts.
