A lot of former Revs in this game, including Jay Heaps (BHM President and GM) and Tom Soehn (BHM head coach). Kizza, Hounds claim dramatic shootout victory in Birmingham By USLChampionship.com Staff 10/23/22, 9:31PM EDT Juan Agudelo (7 goals this season) with assist on first goal for BHM. Edward Kizza comes off the bench in 89' to score the tying goal for PIT that sends it to AET. BHM score again in AET, but Kizza levels once more to send it to PKs. Kizza converts to win it in the 10th round of PKs. Zachary Herivaux played 119' for BHM. GK Trevor Spangenberg (had a cup of coffee with Revs in 2015) subbed on for the shootout, saved two.
I think we still have Kizza's rights, but I've seen in two different reports that he will not be back with the Revs.

Looks like Turner will be #1. Gregg Berhalter says Matt Turner is likely the starting goalkeeper for the USMNT at the World Cup."The lean is towards Matt being the No. 1." Notes a minor injury but Turner looks to be a starter if fit. pic.twitter.com/gBUFbuoKy3— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) November 9, 2022
Tajon was dangerous against Belgium. His shot took the handball for the PK, and he should have earned a second PK, but was incorrectly called offside. At the end of round 1, the US is the only CONCACAF team to have scored a goal.
Rumor has it that Napoli is interested in signing Buchanan. I believe there's a 10% sell on fee that would come to the Revs if true.
Congrats to Da Boy... https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/sebastian-lletget-becky-g-announce-engagement-see-the-proposal

Read an article about Khano Smith the other day - currently an assistant with Birmingham, hoping to get a job in MLS. Been progressing in coaching initiatives, including one where he interned with Robin Fraser.
Maybe if he and Shalrie still have a good relationship, he can be brought in as an assistant when SJ takes over.
I'd have to think Shalrie is well down the pecking order on this staff - but, you know the Krafts might have a say. It's my hope that when Arena is done, his org will remain in place, with maybe Dave van den Bergh, Richie Williams or Onalfo leading the way. I also forget that Chris Tierney is part of the organization because he seems to stay under the radar, but doesn't seem like he's on the coaching path.
Yeah, as much as I'd love to see Shalrie in charge, I think the heir apparent would be Richie Williams or Clint Peay, if Bruce ever kicked himself upstairs.
I have some recollection of Van Den Bergh being on some kind of list of assistants who deserve a head coaching shot. But I agree, I'd like to see them promote from within.
