no PT for Zach or Daigo. Wright played the whole game, Femi got about 15-20 minutes. Both show why they are in USL and not MLS. Hartford with a 4-0 win in front of about 200 fans. Big loss for B'ham as there are teetering on the line to make the playoffs

Just an fyi/finer distinction - it was on ESPNNews on my provider (a channel I dont have access to). (Not on ESPN main channel)

Good to see an Original Rev still involved in the game. The Richmond Kickers have to be one of the longest surviving lower division teams (that didn't get promoted). Rob Ukrop (another 1996er) played for them both before and after the Revs.

I believe the saying goes "weighing his options and exploring future opportunities."

Just like anyone who is unemployed is a "consultant."

He was a truly nice guy, and he will do well in whatever he decides to do.

    Good luck to you, Femi!

Maybe, but it could also be that he realized that the peak of his soccer career would be either as a very borderline MLS player or a USL player. And while that's a higher level than any of us could hope for, maybe he decided that riding the buses in the USL and playing on divot-filled high-school fields for not much money had gotten old. Maybe getting a "real" job somewhere and be the best damn player in his local league seemed like a better plan.

Former Rev Braeden Cloutier has been head coach of Orange County SC (USL-C) since Dec 2017.

Kevin Alston is still on his roster.

It's fascinating to think about him as a pro coach - He's too larger-than-life for the constraints of a technical area.

It would be interesting to see what results he could extract from a pro team roster.

But - he's been accumulating quite a lot of baggage/noise...

...it seems that he's been steadily reducing the odds that anyone will take a chance on him for a coaching gig.

In this country (which seems to be a requirement of his, at least while his kids are still young).

I think there's a lot of truth in his comments about US Soccer and US soccer players. If he got a coaching job here, I think it would end up just like it did with Friedel - US players are just not going to put up with his kind of demands.

Every time I hear the phrase "With all due respect..." I think of Paulie Walnuts trying to tell Tony Soprano something he doesn't want to hear.

I was a Jones fan when he was here, and thought that he was the real catalyst behind the revival of 2014. It must have been awkward with Heaps, but Jay probably figured Jones knew a lot and if he could channel his energy and influence the right way, they both would be successful.

I wish him well, but the whole thing with his party concierge business combined with being a coach of a pro team (even USL) seems to be at odds.

I think everything he said about LA is spot on - everyone's playing a role; it's as artificial as it gets.
