Apparently I am breaking this News. No Ray-Pec. this is from my email at Ray-Pec. Raymore-Peculiar School District Update Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 This is a weekly news service to keep you informed about issues or events in the district. If there is an important announcement or crisis information to share, there will be an additional, unscheduled alert. Please feel free to share this information with others. 1. The Kansas City Wizards soccer team will not be playing its next few seasons of home games at Panther Stadium. The Wizards management had been in discussion with the Raymore-Peculiar School District about the possibility of using Panther Stadium until the team finds a permanent facility. The Wizards have selected another location in the metropolitan area as the temporary site. Anyone know where yet? Joe
Thanks for the update, hopefully it's true. I just did not want to be driving down 71 highway to Ray-Pec for games. I would, of course, just did not want to. That leaves only two locations that I am aware of on the "short list".
My news about Ray-Pec is not a rumor. It was a news release from my district. It is 100% confirmed. Joe
He means that just becasue Ray-Pec said that OnGoal has "selected" another location that what it really meant was that they just weren't gonna select Ray-Pec and that an announcement will come at the end of hte week(on which place is selected). Obviously if Ray-Pec is saying they aren't selected, they arent ... at least that's what it looks like to me.
And from the KC Star this morning in regards to Ray-Pec http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/16370378.htm
Two Comments on this new news: 1) We can probably thank the survey a bit on this one getting nixxed. 2) Somehow this irrelevant information will be spun and create a resurface of the Wizards to Philadelphia thread for a few days. - Watch for it.
Actually, I think the copy editor is blameless. It's a certain poster who is fond of posting in blue that is likely to blame. I don't see anything wrong with the headline.
Really, is it taht iopmtrant? I maen, I know you're jsut rgaigng a lttile. But does seplnilg keep a potser from getnitg his or her pniot arcoss? I maen, are we rlaely reudecd to sepllnig? Can we jsut acpect taht not eevrynoe is a great splleer and raed the text wtih the pprusoe of gttenig the flul ietnnt of the mssegae, and let Elgnsih tehcares wrroy auobt splenilg smcak?
I typically try and ignore spelling mistakes because typos happen, I do it all the time. If I comment, it's usually because it was not a typo, but incorrect usage or blatant disregard for spelling a word correctly. Grammar is a completely different beast, and since my grammar/sentence structure probably sucks, I shy away from commenting (except when people spell grammar wrong in an attempted grammer smack ). But that's not what's important here......we should continue to praise Jason when actually does spell most everything correctly in one of his posts.
By itself no; yet when combined with complete lack of capitalization, punctuation and overall sentence/paragraph structure, it made the post not only readable, but comprehensible as well. You see, I was merely complimenting the guy and giving him a little something you know for the extra effort. I knew, even as an abstract rant, that the Kool-Aid man, although financially damaging, could be a positive thing for the groups' beverages during slow times and a helper to certain ill-tempered sea bass (players) who might need some assistance staying on the field. Some of the others I can't even browse and comprehend their posts. They're so sloppy with some of that stuff that I don't waste my time reading it three times to figure it out. To me it's like they might as well copy and paste the same post over & over again as all the key words are the same, just the filler in-between changes. It goes something like this - (filler) bored at work (filler) drunk (filler) Newcastle (filler) puked (filler) New Zealand (filler) mates (filler)... Maybe its just me.
Now, I'm having a hard timing reading between the lines here Andy.... ps, I would rep you but alas, I am all out again.
as the one it was directe towards i have no problem with being complimented for my spelling. i never, except this once, cut and past to word to check spelling, and i know that it was in good humor (probably ) plus like i said i checked my spelling because i have been working overnights (12am to 8am) and it has been screwing my up, i still have to look at the calender to see what day it is, i hate calenders
Understood. I even gave him some good old fashioned o'reilly/kook aid rep for his post. But ever since I found this page I've been dying to use it. I would like to thank Beech for the opportunity.
In case you haven't seen it yet--under Sights & Sounds on the Wizards website is a new 3 minute video about the upcoming season.....kinda cool.
