Folks, All the old threads are still here (except the ones started after 12/12). Just go down to the pulldown menu at the bottom of the thread list and tell it to show more than just threads from the past day. If you do this then all the old threads (like the old word association) will show up for you and you'll be able to bump them back to the top. Post questions below if you've got any. Thanks,
Knave, I clicked "past 30 days" on 2 different threads and didn't get anything between Nov. 19 and Dev. 14. Is there another way to get the threads between the 19th and the 12th?
OK ... now that I've figured out a hack to enable me to post I can try to answer this question. The attack on BS.com happened during the normal backup. The result was that the backup was corrupted. The last good backup they had was from back in November. So when they decided to restore the whole system to the previous state they had to use the old backup. That means that everything posted between that backup and the attack is gone. So that's why the posts you're talking about no longer exist. Posts older than those do exist, however. And you can retrieve them by setting the thread view date back as I said above.
