I would think this would be a simple straight forward question. When will MLS announce team schedules? I'm about ready to start booking travel to cities for work, that also have MLS teams and would like to know if it's worth my time to stay an extra night to see a game. But as of now MLS won't get my business unless, they get on the ball. (okay i'm just venting but really seeing as how the season starts in just a number of weeks you would think they would announce this kind of stuff)
Yea, from what I heard this week or early next week. Two weeks ago it was in rough draft form. So it should come out within 7 days...
thanks for the answer guys... i'm curious... where did you hear this... was it an inside source or was this posted somewhere so i wouldn't have to ask "stupid questions".
Sources tell me that DCU, Houston, New England and Chivas USA are set to participate in SuperLiga this summer. The Mexican opponents and the match dates should be unveiled sometime in March. What I am also hearing is that MLS will again lighten the regular season schedule for those four clubs around the time of the tournament. Speaking of the regular season, the latest target date for release of the complete schedule is apparently next Thursday, but that could change. The latest from Goff on the subject.
We need to make plans around here - I hope this schedule comes out soon. Hell, baseball has their schedules set... Come on Lads, reveal the schedule!
Lighten the schedule? What does that mean? Not schedule games on the same day as SuperLiga games? Last year the Dynamo played at least one MLS game every week all summer except for the week where we played three SuperLiga games. How was that lightening the schedule? April - 4 MLS games May - 4 MLS games June - 6 MLS games (+ Gold Cup + Copa America) July - 5 MLS games + the All-Star game + 2 SuperLiga games August - 4 MLS games + 2 SuperLiga games September - 4 MLS games October - 3 MLS games Looks to me like they loaded up our schedule around the time of SuperLiga, they didn't lighten it. At best you could say they kept it the same.
