all we asked is for 'them' to be objective but no....... they still think people look at Uruguay in the same light as they see Brazil + Argentina.

You're in the same doghouse with the rest of us buddy...if not worse then some:cool:!

Incredible how they typed like 10 essays worth of topics and this quote powned everything effortlessly.

    nice one manya.

Oh and not only are they mediocre no names, but also ignorant (its not your fault, but you should know really why Uruguay isnt even considering to try to win a Libertadores for a VERY long time.

SPorts Illustrated USA- (Pretty much, "Uruguay cant ever win anything in Club level again, since they have NO domestic players left" (sorry that your players are too mediocre to play in Europe <Or good European clubs atleast :D ).........but it's imposible for Uruguay to win a Libertadores in 30 years.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/gregory_sica/01/04/uruguay.penarol/index.html

And as for "Dog house", no one in Uruguay is declining that they arent a "World elite" anymore. But like I had written before, Uruguay isnt bragging about any current situation, the fact that Uruguay is URuguay and will forever be respected worldwide (even if they dont make the next 25,30, 50(!) world cups in a row). That..........is just priceless.

A Uruguayan isnt trying to say "We can kick all your asses" . The pride comes from much more than that............being Uruguay is great enough (Like when Romania beat England, the English shrug it off and go "Whatever, atleast were England and your ...........Romaaaaania" .......it's the same thing.

Keep celebrating 2nd places (and Chile, the 87 2nd place that you're so proud of ......you even lost that to us). And Colombia? Deja te de joder. Uds ni existen cuando salen campeones (2001 C. America was hilarious , I dont even consider that it existed and I CONSTANTLY make fun of my Colombian buddies (along with the Argentinians) about that all the time (he gets furious cause it meant so much to him)

And Colombia a "contender?". Mexico a shock? Dude, Mexico couldnt beat Uruguay's "B" Squad with 1 red card and 90% of their NT (and Uruguay played even better too, tieing the game 2-2)

Mexico got raped 4-0 by Brazil, while we gave them a WAR (as usual). Really that Uruguay was the worst Uruguay NT of all time at that moment (months after the "3 famous losses".)

You seem to talk lots of shit, but If we are "struggling", then you guys are literally crap. And if we are crap, then you guys dont even exist.

Just........give up right now (you wont, and that's what makes it sweeter for us cause this is so damn easy :p ). Go pick on Bolivia or something, but you cant even chip a milimeter off Uruguay's bottom layer of even waste pride.

bolsitoo: no one is bragging about any particular status

they are just showing you that there is only 2 teams in conmebol as GIANTS

THE REST ARE even, with one or 3 exceptions. Moreover, no one is even NEAR to challange the Giants, at any level club or NT

go back and read the very 1st post/question?

I thought we were only talking about the 90's? WTF?

Uruguay ya no existe, loco. La unica forma que puedan ganar algo en el futuro es volviendose una provincia mas de Argentina, giles. :D

I've never seen a poster like bolso, who uses more out of context statements!
Did he read the ENTIRE SI article....NO. He just reads what he wants to read. By the way, the guy writing the article is obviously Uruguayan -- so much for being objective! But even from your own stupid article. Your own Uruguyan correspondent quotes in the same article:
"It's bad enough that Uruguay has lost its place in the hierarchy of South America's elite, but now it finds itself BELOW second-tier players Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile -- even permanent guest Mexico."

And to your other stupid point, bolso, how is it that Brazil and Argentina export every player and still manage to win!!! You think Uruguay sends everyone they can to Europe because they're that good... don't get ahead of yourself. Most south american football agents are uruguayan and argentinian - they have a lock on who stays, who goes...etc. And you think Colombia's Copa America 2001 is HILARIOUS.... would you have preferred to let the Mexicans win the Copa America...pathetic... At least I dont have to make fun of you 1930 WC, hosted by Uruguay, won by Uruguay with a tournament PURELY by invitation with 4 of the weakest European nations at the time taking a place in the event because no one wanted to be there...so it's all relative --

"He just reads what he wants to read. By the way, the guy writing the article is obviously Uruguayan"

Actually he's Australian :D (swear to god...... his parents are hispanic, that's where his name comes from)

And Chile saying "Uruguay no existe" , entonces no se que decir de Chile :D (que no existe, nunca existio, y nunca existira)

And the "Giant" thing is agreed on . But it was many of YOU who didnt read my post.

The Uruguayans dont even care about not being "Giant". What's fine is that we are Giants in mutual respect from Giants/pride/history/titles.

IE: Arsenal didnt win ANYTHING from 1960-1989 , and were still the 3rd biggest team in England, respected by Man U/Liverpool (other 2 giants) and known worldwide.

And all they had done is win a few titles in the 30s and 40s.
Uruguay has enough titles to literally lie on our pillow for the rest of time (take it as a "Retirement plan"). We already made it to the holy land, URuguay is really playing for fun now as they've won everything there is to win.........and 8-9 times. (The respect given worldwide, recognition and recognition as being a "Grande" constantly from the giants no matter what.......................that's priceless.

That's why Uruguay doesnt want to be put in the same boat as "Colombia" (who compares a copa america to a world cup <and not only any version of the greatest tournament known to man........but the first one of all time <literally priceless ......but not as much as 1950 > or "Paraguay" ....or "Ecuador" who are barely known in their own continent.

(((To put this into an analogy. Argentina and Brazil are on their Island with them sleeping in their respective thrones...........while Colombia/Ecuador/Paraguay/Chile are still padeling their canoes, trying to barely even make it to the island (let alone reach the thrones they sit on)

Now: ARgentina and Brazil sometimes come out of the throne to whip some ass and send chicos like Colombia all the way back to the start of the race. As for Uruguay, they are having it tough to win as convincingly as they used to (seems population has finally caught up with them), but they are forever happy as their incredible history has caused them to have the 3rd golden seat beside Argentina and Brazil for all time (and actually invited and recognized by them...............you'll never hear the Brazilian media say "Here come our historical and world renouned equals............................Ecuador :p "

That's what I mean. Im happy being "arsenal" and really , just like Blackburn in 1993 when they won the title, made fun of Arsenal for 1 year and disapeared into forever oblivion (like Bolivia 94, Colombia 94, Chile 98 <who are still competetive .....but so is North Korea lol) ...................sorry guys, take some time to read the posts next time

    peace
