    1. the players to defend themselves: I really hate it when the mexican guys start throwing kicks and sucker punches and the u.s players dont punch back. I want to see a confrontation dammit! I would also like for someone to teach Cuahtemoc Blanco a lesson once and for all!

It reminds me of the mexico-argentina friendly. One of the mexicans sucker punched D'Alessandro in the corner. He got up but didnt do a thing. If that happens to the u.s players I want FELLOW U.S PLAYERS TO GATHER AROUND THE MEXICAN PLAYER AND CONFRONT HIM!

I liked the tough attitude Donovan and others showed in the argentina game. Even if argentina didnt hit us or play dirty (except for diving a few times) we were more physical. The USA needs to make mexico its b|tch once and for all!

I don't know if this is a right tactic. One of the things that made us look good in the World Cup was not retaliating. I agree that we definitely have to be tough. As for Blanco, who can forget Ansil Elcock?

i am not saying that we should provoke a fight with them. What im saying is that if they keep doing to the usa what they have done in all recent games we have to fight back.

columbus, denver, azteca, world cup you name it. Mexico has gotten the best of the u.s in these games when it comes to inflicting physical punishment.

yes this is probably due to Bruce Arena, telling the players before the game to refrain from confrontations, but enough is enough! its been too many games where they have done this.

I prefer to see the US play with class a la the WC game against Mexico. We don't need to sink to their level.

I don't care much about physical punishment. I care about the scoreline, and that 2-0 score in Korea suited me just fine.

if we always keep playing like this they will never respect the U.S team.

You can talk about playing with class, but if it means mexico thinking they can always throw kicks and sucker punches and not expect the U.S to do anything back then thats wrong. We need to play them tough to make them fear us.

Remember the guy that Keane took out (his name slips my mind right now)? That guy said that Roy faked an injury and Roy waited over a year to get that guy back. And when Roy did, the resulting tackel and subsequent injury have prevented that guy from playing a full 90 since.

    Karma, Blanco. Karma.

As much as I'd like to see one of our players crush one of those little punk Mexicans, I'd rather us win the game.

As classless as it is, I think we need to follow Simeone's lead and exaggerate the hell out of their harsh fouls to get some of the little rat bastards sent off.

The USMNT could really use a number 32 type defender.

beating them inflicts 100 times more punishment than a brawl. In fact, maintaining discipline and winning games is what gets you respect in the soccer world. 3 points is all the world or we should care about. Who gives a rats-arse who can beat up whom? That is loser talk.

I don't think that the US team has anyone on the team that can beat Blanco's a$$.

The federation should cap guys like Roy Jones Jr. and Mike Tyson for one game. Could you imagine Roy Jones going out there and landing a few jabs at Marquez and Blanco.

    the FMF should cap ElGorillaLoco...

he would mangle anything the US could throw at him and laugh through his mask.

as for fighting against mexico... thats stupid. it plays into their hands. and when we're losing all of our games 4-0 5-0 like we used to we can at least point to all the red cards as our excuse right?

9 out of 10 dentists agree... you my friends.. are stupid.

(the other dentist was so shocked at your stupidity he went out drinking and couldn't be reached for comment)

I will never, ever forget the time Alexi Lalas got kicked square in the nutsack during a US-Mexico confrontation...and there was no call, much less a card!!!

Though I don't want to see our team out there picking fights, becoming a more intelligent physical team is important. Describing this is always difficult, but it is the fine line between intitiating contact to get in better position for a header versus going in two feet, cleats up on a guy. It seems that at times, we are either too obvious with the contact, or we don't hit guys at all. If Mexico is the team we practice on, than so be it ;)

It's too bad that this happened if it indeed did happen.

We're talking about a guy, however, that received death threats from some of Colombia's least reputable citizens before they were to play America de Cali in the libertadores group. He went to Colombia anyways and scored two goals to defeat America de Cali.

I would like to see our players continue to show the class to the world that the Mexican players did not.

I dont think the current USMNT players are ruthless hacks. Especially after seeing those fruity pictures they posed in before the World Cup.

    :D :p
