My home WC 2002 Japan jersey is getting lonely. When are the new ROK and Japan unis coming out? I'm itching to get them if they look decent. Heck, I may even go for a PRC one just for fun. I do hope they have some individuality, though, and are not just Nike/Adidas cookie cutter jerseys.
Not till 2004. NT uniforms are generally on a two year cycle. Most teams get new kits for the World Cup, then a new one for the Asian Cup (or if you're in Europe, the Euro tournament).
I've said it time and time again, AT LEAST YOUR JERSEYS AREN'T PINK!!!! It's embarassing y'know? I mean pink?!?!? I've tried to pretend that it's magenta or futia or whatever. It just doesn't work. I don't know what you're complaining about. Japan has very nice unis in my opinion. Hell, they've always had nice ones. Well, maybe the exception of the ever-so-popular Hot-Wheels flames on the sleeves.
Some people love the 98 "Hot Wheels" jerseys! I'm not one of them, though. What would be cool, but would probably be considered sacrilege to both nations, is if Japan had an 3rd alternate RED jersey (cuz national colors are red and white), and ROK had a BLUE jersey (because they've had blue trim on the unis before, and there is as much blue on the Korean flag as there is red).
why dont ya'll stop complaining and just buy the white one. I just bought one and its pretty sexy. think imma just start wearing that from now on.
Actually, Japan once wore red (in the early 80s, I think): And Korea had wore blue away shirts in '98: Weird, huh?
Blue had been Korea's away colour for most of the time in the past to my knowledge... we only changed it to white/red away strip before the world cup. I guess we tried to emphasize the red more as the national colour (and it looks nicer that way in my opinion... blue just doesn't seem right for Korea, I dunno...) Korea supposedly have a 3rd jersey right now which is sky blue, just that they have just never worn it. They wear it with the navy blue shorts and IMO it looks nice. I don't think they'll ever wear it though, its been way over a year and they still haven't worn the 3rd strip, beside the fact that red is pretty much established as our national colour and wearing any other colour would just make them look... like another team. I really like the Japan's uniform that they are using right now. They'll probably change it for the next asian cup. At least Japan gets uniform change consistantly after every two years! Last time Korea used the WC 98 jersey until early 2002. Talk about lazy! But I like Korea's current uniform as well. It looks Pink in person, but in TV or out in stadium lights, it turns into a nice looking red. Plus I like the design...
i like the korean nt uniforms as well. i dont mind the color, 'hot red'/'denim blue' they wear the 3rd during training
I'm speaking completely objectively and I still think the South Korean NT jersey is the best in the world(especially our white/fuschia/white sock away kit) along with England, Spain, and the always classic Germany white/black. And yes, the 3rd Sky blue with denim shorts is for training only. I wish South Korea had an alternate with white top with thin red trims, white shorts, and the current fuschia colored sock or even a white/navy blue/white sock combo.
I like the current Japanese white/gray away jersey. it's pretty cool for an adidas brand. Korea should avoid blue at all costs. Remember the blue curse? It's been 5 count em 5 YEARS since a blue uniformed team won a World Cup. IX-NAY ON THE OO-BLAY! eh im being stupid. Korea actually came out with slightly different jerseys in 2000 (the lettering was white instead of blue and the red was darkened). So we should probably see the new unis some time next year. I think Korea should go back to regular blue with the shorts instead of grayish looking crap.
Oh, our women's team used that combination just used that combination for their match against Hong Kong... it looked aight.
I guess that's why Korea went with the "denim" shorts, so not to confuse the hell out of everyone else with the same colored bottoms. I still never understood the "latitude and longitude" lines. I mean, yeah it's original, but it also seems typically Korean-style. I dunno.
