Visited a tile shop on an industrial side street off Brokaw this afternoon as part of my reconnoissance for eventual bathroom remodel, and I saw the Quakes repped in this mural inside.

I'm too confused to follow baseball anymore. I ardently followed the Cardinals from second grade on, but began to switch my alliance to the Gmen when I lived in SC. Now I'm in Brewers country. So far, my reaction has been to essentially ignore the game.
I'm still a Cardinals fan. I read the game scores, and watch the occasional game when they're televised, and attend one game a year against the Giants. I think you need to be in the same sweltering city as the team, with a transistor radio, to truly get into MLB. My high-water mark was 1985, when I was working in St. Louis for the summer with college friends all dispersed, and I had a futon, a box fan, a 12" black-and-white TV, and a transistor radio (all a boy really needs). The eventual pennant-winning Cards were my only real companion that summer, which I remember with great fondness.
