I was gonna say, on his piles of money, that's how.
Ideally, the city of Oakland figures out a way to force the closure of the stadium in the offseason, which would then force the A's to play somewhere else. I don't expect this to happen as it would open them up to legal action by the A's, and they honestly can't afford to fight MLB on this. But it would be the correct thing to do, as I am quite confident the stadium wouldn't actually pass various inspections in safety and health, anyway.

And I'm a proud Coliseum defender. I would pit the viewing experience of a game there against any other stadium in the league because of its circular design. But they have to close it down. The land can be used for so many better things than as a decaying monument to failure.

You're advocating the City of Oakland violate its lease? And consequently have Oakland taxpayers pay damages and attorneys' fees to John Fisher, thereby making them poorer and him richer?

Don, I feel like I'm a lightning rod for your ability to completely miss crucial details in posts. I literally said the city won't do it for the very reason of avoiding getting embroiled in a legal dispute that they can't afford. Hell, part of that statement is in the quote itself.

I don't mind getting picked on, but it seems you tried especially hard to misunderstand what I wrote. Not everything in writing is literal.

Whether or not the City does it, were you in fact advocating the City breach its lease? Because I don’t think I misread what you said.

I remain confident you can figure out whether it was a serious suggestion or not on your own.

For those here and throughout the Bay Area who plan to watch the San Francisco 49ers home opener against the New York Giants:

    • 4:00pm-5:00pm = Pregame show (only on Prime Video)
    • 5:00pm-8:00pm = Game (on Prime Video, simulcast on KTVU Channel 2)
    • 8:00pm-9:00pm = Postgame show (only on Prime Video)

In New York City, it’ll be the same except for whichever local channel the game will be simulcasted over there.

For everywhere else in the country, the entire thing will only be on Prime Video.

    I hope that helped. :)

    3-0-0. :)

QB Brock Purdy’s 310 passing yards and two touchdowns thrown helped lead the San Francisco 49ers to a home opening win against the New York Giants. :D

Next up: Levi’s Stadium hosts the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, October 1st.

Can't beat him, can only hope to injure him and knock him out of the game in the first quarter. :)

Wonder if it's the system or the athlete?

Are the Niners that good or is Purdy a great QB?

I think Brock's been good but not great so far this season. I think he'll get better as the season wears on. He may still be getting used to his "new" arm. His accuracy hasn't been great, even on some short passes - the ball is sometimes not quite in the right place. And his receivers have been making great plays - wrong shoulder, reaching out and grabbing it, etc. And there have been some tips and other throws that he's been fortunate have not been intercepted. But again I think he'll get better as the season wears on.

Yep, and Brock is built perfectly to run that offense. He’s like a T-Rex, huge quads and lower body strength with very short arms (like 5% of average for QBs.) Those arms allow for quick release. Against the Giants his average release time was 2.34 seconds. Think about that. I’m not too sure Trey Lance could have done that (hence the trade).
