He's destroyed the team. The Sharks had already been to what - four or five playoffs in a row before he got there, so attributing the success of the '00s and '10s to him is disingenuous and he's made so many stupid, unsupportable moves in his almost 20 years as GM that it boggles the mind as to how he still has a job.

 

The biggest knock against him, in recent memory at least, is the huge contract given to Karlsson which hasn’t amounted to much on the ice. He got his first goal of the season Monday but overall tying up so much money in one player has been a bust. Also losing both Joe’s (Jumbo has helped turn things around in Toronto, apparently) has left us lacking, we seem kind of rudderless and without leadership. Logan is the quiet type, so is Patty who can’t chip in much anymore, Burns doesn’t seem like a leader type either and he’s inconsistent. Overall, Sharks don’t look good and so yeah, Doug has had his chance, time for a GM change and a new direction. Our best chance to win the cup has come and gone, it’s a shame but we’re looking at reestablishing an identity and overhauling the roster. And, we’re still the only CA team with no Stanley Cup to our credit, unfortunately.

...as an electronic music fan, I was a little bummed to hear that Daft Punk called it quits last week after 28 years, and...

...as a reggae music fan, I was saddened to learn that Bunny Wailer just died. He was the last of the original Wailers which included Peter Tosh and Bob Marley. RIP

Going to be a long season for sharks fan.......only player that seems to be playing up to their contract is Logan.

Burns, Vlasic, Karlsson, Meier, Jones not performing well for the money their being paid. Kane a bit inconsistent and I fear he has to much off ice stuff on his mind that could be affecting his play.
