    I mean, he was a huge reason why the 49ers didn't win the Super Bowl. His false starts at critical moments killed their momentum. He's well past his best playing days and the longer the plays the more likely he is to get not only a career-ending injury but a life-threatening one. And that is if he doesn't already have some long-term condition that will cause him issues for the rest of his life. And I'm sure he's made a fair amount of money already.

    Plus, with the way things are now, who's to say there will even be an NFL season next year, anyway? Might as well get out.

    Interestingly, the San Francisco 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders are scheduled to play each other in the preseason for the first time since 2011, whereas beforehand their matchup was practically an annual preseason tradition. :thumbsup:

    Also, the 49ers are scheduled to host @don gagliardi's Buffalo Bills and @bsman's Green Bay Packers, while visiting @athletics68's New England Patriots.

    I'm doubly excited as the Patriots are coming west to play the 2 LA teams this year, 4 days apart. And it's late enough in the year (December) there is still a chance I'd be able to go in person.

    In fact, the Patriots are scheduled to play there twice as many times this year than the 49ers are, with the latter playing there just once each regular season as one of the Rams' divisional opponents. :eek:

    While the 49ers are scheduled to play the Chargers during the preseason, this year's matchup is set to be played in Levi's Stadium. :inlove:
