ya nacional is cool too i guess. i should have supported them. maybe i will if i go back. they are much closer to me than liga. liga is all the way across town.
Chile's Univ. Catolica goalie finally beaten after 14 clean sheets. Jose Maria Bujulbasich held out for 14 game, and it took a penalty shot by Ramos of Everton to stop the Argentine's excelent display of goal tending.
And with that, el "Tati" became third in the all time table of longest streak of undefeated goalies. It's a bit questionable considering he received goals during Copa Sudamericana, but apparently the undefeated streak during trhw national league is enough.

I might've picked Alianza Lima as thats the team that was drilled in my head by family, but I'm going to have to go with Sao Paolo. I like how they play, I like their accomplishments this year even better. I got to give them credit.
chalk one more up for Deportivo Independiente Medellín, and there's 2/3 more people who haven't voted here for them... (they don't seem to venture outside the colombian forums)
I'm surprised the team isn't more popular... Colo-Colo gets 21 votes and U Catolica 1? U de Chile gets 1 as well... somebody must've hacked the poll. Colo-Colo hasn't been competitive in ages.
What the?? If Alianza has 19 votes, Universitario has to have like 23-24. Contrary to popular belief, Alianza is #2 in Peru.
I voted Alianza. I know that they haven't won lots of championships. That they are usually looking up at La U. It's just sentimentality. No other reason. It's irrational fandom. Alianza is my team even when they disappoint (like recently). I got a "treasure box" of Alianza memoriabilia. I got my wife, brother and dad Alianza gear to wear. None of us is Peruvian. I already talk to my Baby girl about Los Intimos so that the legacy can continue...
