Agreed but disagree. Just out of respect they should get there own forum. Maybe that's why there are so few pages? Lost in the woods? It's says more about us as a group than about them.
That as a group we're fiercely determined and not easily swayed from our never-ending quest to find something to complain about.
I'm not against it as a very niche forum that's easier to find. What would it's parent be? Thoughts? @bungadiri @TheFalseNine @Everyone

Yes, a sizable chunk of the complaints about the current format center around the name of "YA Academy". The forum suggests that it's for youth players, but then managers, adult trialists, and senior players in smaller leagues get lumped in too.
Fair. But, personally, I’d be more likely to participate in the threads if they popped up somewhere easier to find.
Busio and Tessman had significant MLS minutes and were sold to Venezia's first team squad for major transfer fees. If Pepi moves, it would be the same deal. Having these kind of senior moves in a thread labeled academy is confusing. And it causes readers to either miss the discussion or to go to multiple places for the same kind of discussion: news on current rumors/transfers for USMNT players. Waiting for a first team appearance makes sense for players that transfer (or are linked to) to European academies or second teams first, but not players that are sold to first teams directly, especially a team that is now in a top 5 league.
This forum is more for "rumors" (substantiated transfer interest) but I'm not sure we use it for announcements - example? I'd be okay if once Busio is signed by the new team to graduate that thread to the main forum. @TheFalseNine @bungadiri
So, I guess two moderators agree that when you've got an MLS first team player signed for another first team, they should go in the main Yanks Abroad forum. I would be surprised if anyone disagreed, and I think we should just make it policy. May I further recommend, as a clean solution to the problem of 'Yanks Abroad Academy' that we make it strictly for Yanks Abroad players who haven't made a first team appearance in any league? That would mean rumors about MLS players going abroad should go in the main forum and so should Yanks Abroad Managers. I don't think that such posts would swamp 'ordinary' Yanks Abroad posts, and if they did in a way that annoyed people, we could create subforums for them. Anyway, I suspect that my saying it's a good idea won't be enough to make it policy. So, let me suggest a vote, either on my 'clean solution' or on the tinkering solution, that MLS players graduate to the main forum when they're signed by a foreign team
I'm not against rumors going in the main forum - Academy is a bit of a confusing place for it. I think I'm not totally clear on your other points.
I guess it just amounts to rumors, managers, and MLS players when signed should go to the main forum. Academy should be just for academy players And also that there should be a vote on some policy change, since I don't think anyone likes the current one, but agreement that the policy is bad in posts isn't enough to change the policy
