So Rios's nickname is "Cacha" . Dictionary says that means "butt" or "handle". Can anyone shed light on how that translates to soccerese?
He handles the butts of his opponents' wives, maybe? I don't really want to think about the other options.
According to the Spanish wikipedia, he got the name because of his prowess on the field (Debido a su destreza en la cancha, el "Cacha") And according to this article about the Uruguayan NT nicknames, it is a reference to the handle of a knife or a navaja, which google says can be razor, penknife, pocketknife, etc. http://www.eluniversal.com/deportes/copa-confederaciones-2013/130619/puede-armarse-una-seleccion-con-un-mono-un-conejo-y-una-cebolla-imp
