Why were they unveiled last night and are there any pics of them? Are they going to be sold?

They are the "Morelia" kits, which they will use on nights where they play Morelia or (like last night) when they play in a doubleheader with Morelia.

  6. They were in the shop window this weekend at the soccer store on Pulaski & 60th in the 'hood, so I imagine if anyone wants to sell them, they can get them.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I think these'd look better with red shorts.

What's that symbol on the right breast?

They're morelia look-alike kits. The right breast is the morelia crest.

This was their half of the double header

It's Morelia's logo. These are just regular third jerseys, the won't really be restricted to use for Morelia events if they so decide, and more likely than not they'll only be that for this year.

The Navy shorts are because that is the color scheeme that morelia wears. They aren't awful uniforms.

Not bad. Good for a 3rd kit. My question is does Morelia have a third kit
with the fire logo on it??????????

I think it sucks an MLS team wears the badge of a Mexican team on their shirts.

The yellow and red made it looked like they all worked for DHL. Which I suppose is better than people thinking they work for the Fire department.

I think the third jersey is ass ugly. Horrid.

BTW, where was Morelia's Fire-inspired third jersey?

    Crickets.

I think the jerseys looked terrific. The color scheme looked good and the overall design was just right (sans the Morelia logo). Keep it up! Even though it's yellow/gold and we alredy have 2 yellow/gold teams (LA+Columbus), this kit looked very different from the other two.

Plus, it allowed MetroStars to play in their home jerseys. The overall look of the game was that much better. I may be a Metro fan thru-and-thru, but I have to admit that Chicago has a terrific front office and they probably deserve a SSS as much as anyone in the league (which they'll get soon, hopefully).

Hi, I'm a stadium announcement for the Fire. I was made seven months ago.

According to the announcers the red and yellow were worn for this one game only and are supposed to be auctioned off for charity. Can't recall who the proceeds will go to. Wonder what Beasley's jersey will go for now that he has signed with PSV and that was likely his last game for the Fire.

Fire stadium will be in Bridgeview, IL, about 8 miles southwest of Soldier Field.

By the way where are all the posts about how Morelia never does anything for the Fire, and how they hated the Morelia jerseys, how the Mexican fans suck, and how it is a travesty that the Fire had Morelia's crest on the front of their jerseys. Oh wait. They are all over BigSoccer. You people need to lighten up. Morelia is our sister club. We share players, help each other's teams train in the off season, and the Fire develops a stronger connection with the Michoacan community in Chicago which makes up a large portion of the Chicago Mexican community. Stop acting like we are somehow getting bent over a barrel by wearing a 3rd jersey and having this relationship.

Proceeds go to FireWorks for Kids. Minimum bid was $150. They raise a lot of money for charity.

Considering the third jersey is for sale in catalogs and at the souvenir stands unlike any commemorative jersey we've ever had I don't think this is the case.
