I just moved and looked at the best sellers in my town from amazon and it is freaking pathetic. I can't even bring myself to post it. I just take pleasure in the fact that my presence will improve it.
The Uncle Tupelo Anthology is pretty damn good. As far as what's selling up here in Grand Forks: I work as a cashier in the SuperTarget and I sold a couple a tube of KY and a single banana. . . . and a chill went down my spine.
Just curious how you search Amazon for top sales in your hometown. Since I live in South Florida, I'm pretty sure it's gonna suck, but i gotsta know! Not sure what's selling but the last great cd's I bought were Wilco's YHF, Mofro's Blackwater, and Neil Young's Live Rust.
It is in what's called the "Purchase Circles" section. For your area, just click on geography and continue through the menus until you find where you live: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/subst/community/community.html/102-5694713-8755320
According to Amazon, the list below is "uniquely popular" in this area. It's not the top 10 best sellers. 1) Best of Freestyle Mix - Bad Boy Joe 2) Phila, PA - LIVE 9/1/00 - Pearl Jam 3) Phila, PA - LIVE 9/2/00 - Pearl Jam 4) Aijuswanasepig - Musiq Soulchild 5) Evergreen Boy - Steve Forbert 6) At the Village Gate - Shlomo Carlebach 7) Tropical Brainstorm - Kristy MacColl 8) Lenses of Contact - mary Fahl 9) Who is Jill Scott - Jill Scott 10) Individuality - Rachelle Ferrell Incredible list....I'm totally surprised.
