OK. The bullshit hitting the fan tastes like a shit sandwich dunnit?

My thinking is what's our next move? As an Eads Brigader of little import, I'd like to make a couple of suggestions going forward:

    1) We continue to meet up at the Amsterdam for soccer.

    2) We support the Lions and perhaps SLU.

I would be more than happy to work something out with the supporter groups and would welcome any and all to a Lions game.

If you have nothing going on then Satruday 5PM vs Springfield. Sorry I need to include that because many people may not be aware of our next game.

Kyle and I would love to get some Eads guys out there. I can't make it this week, but I encourage everyone to go out and support them.

The Lions deserve support. I'm probably going to go out there on Saturday because there's an example of a club and an owner who seems to know what he's doing.

I think the downside for people in supporting the Lions is some folks out there won't take it seriously unless it's deemed "pro".

But I hope if there are those of you reading this you understand that for a PDL club with a far tighter budget than AC--well, nowadays a quarter in your pocket means you have more money than they do, but I digress--the Lions are a first rate organization.

The staff are good, good people and extremely appreciative of their fans. Now I'm not saying turn your backs on AC, but don't treat the Lions as 2nd rate. They've been around for 5 years and have produced some quality guys. They've got quality guys now, and I was well impressed with their attacking game during the home opener.

It's a pretty slim chance I can make it Saturday too due to my family coming home from vacation (haven't seen my wife and daughter for a week), but I'll try my hardest.

This week I am out of commission. (Due to almost not having any time with the wife last weekend, I've given her this weekend.)

I will make it up to Cottleville at least once to see what the Lions are all about.

I probably won't make it out to a ton of Lions games, but it would be fun if we tried to organize a big outing with a lot of the different supporters group members.

Is it for certain that Cooper is out and the team is operating off of other team's bonds?

they only have 8 home games a year.

I'm thinking we can all make those. We can definitely organize a carpool.

Let's see what unfolds and we'll go from there.

I'm planning to support the hell out of our pro soccer team while I have the chance (for me that means I'll go to a game or two :(). I'll probably see a Lions game next year, though.

I did some looking at the schedule and there's some games between now and the next AC game.

Their schedules only overlap twice for those needing to decide which vs. which.

I was struggling to juggle them, AC and Athletica but now I thank my lucky stars someone made it easier on me!

    *sigh*...
