Whenever I see Vieira play, I always see some shiny stuff on the front of his shirt (around the chest area). Initially, I thought it was his snot. But game in game out, it's always there. More recently, I seem to notice that some other Arsenal players also have some of that shiny stuff on their shirts (thought in smaller quantity). What's that stuff?

That's hilarious that you thought it was snot. I'd hate to be around him when he has a cold, then. He'd need a beachtowel to keep from drowning in his own mucus. Ok, that was gross.

Anyway, it's Vicks. It works the same as a breathe-right strip; open the nasal passages to help get more oxygen to the lungs.

    ..

I had the fortune to watch a game in a pub in Belfast with Liam Brady at my side abaout a year and a half ago. He told me it was some kind of "vics" or breathing gel to clear the sinus's during a game. The best 2 hrs of my life!!!

Thanks for the info. How come I don't seem to notice other teams using this breathing aide?

I actually think it's been almost 3 months since the last "What's on Viera's Shirt" thread....

Would yet another "What made you an Arsenal Fan" thread help??

Indeed. I was about to start a "Why no 'What's that on Viera's shirt? thread' thread" but I guess I'm too late.

At first I thought it was boogers, too, but I guess it'snot. :)

And why stop at the "What made you an Arsenal fan?" I hate the new logo. I hate the new shirt. Have you ever been to Highbury? Whom do you dislike more - Man U or Sp*rs? Why do we always tank in Europe? So-and-so is going to be bought/sold.

PS- Anybody heard about progress on the new stadium?

Down boy, easy now.........striker is new to the Arsenal boards and the other members joined only in the last two months so they have missed the conversations.

Dont you remember when you were new and wanted to be accepted by the older group.....LOL

I should have laced my response with more smileys and stuff.

I thought it was pretty funny, but I guess it'snot!:)

Note to self: Remember to do the "Why no 'What's that on Viera's shirt? thread" in a couple of months.

I actually think a more relevant question might be "Why doesn't someone hand Viera a towel before he does the 'M.O.T.M.' interview"? After the Chelsea FA Cup match and the Everton match, the man looked like he was sweating BECAUSE he was sweating so much....
