Let me just start with a :) and a :D

I want you to know that I just saw Goff's weak attempt at plagiarizing my poll - it is certainly not up to my "worst thread ever" rating.

That said, I did see at least one "eff D.C., change the name" comment.

The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers used be known as the "Bugeaters". Unfortunately, the 1899 season didn't go so well, so boosters felt they needed a new name to get a fresh start.

Do not bring up NU in this discussion. The greatest college football program ever should never be brought up in a discussion involving DC United changing their name to PG United.

    7pm *cough*

    Kill, kill, kill

It just opens up an opportunity for internet morons from other teams to cause problems. Some other idiot can reference a useless internet poll as justification to change a name.

We're not the f-----ing NY Metrostars, NY/NJ Metrostars, Metrostars, Red Bulls, NY Red Bulls (and I'm probably missing 1/2 dozen).

And the compelling reason to close has been found.

If you truly feel the need to discuss this non-issue, head over to the home of Goffzzzzzzzzzz.
