I started wondering about this after reading this thread on the 1989 US Under-20 team in the YNT forum. A rather strange story. From a post by Sandon Milbut: His Wikipedia entry states he got capped twice at the senior level. Also hints at attitude problems that may have held him back. I can remember seeing his name when reading about the early 90s U.S. team, but I ended up forgetting all about him. Anyone have anymore info on him, like what his caps were for the men's team? Or what he may be up to these days?
I think it was he knee, but not sure. Injury ended his career early. He was a hot head, but eventually people would have put up with him if he had kept going. Played against him a few times and he was very good, great shot, quick release. Don't know what he's doing now.
Re: caps A guy who claimed to be (and in fact may have been) Steve's brother was one of the biggest a-hole posters on SAG back in the day. IOW,I got nothin'.
May be of relation and then again this may have nothing to do with anything but are you maybe thinking of sam snow. he was director of LSA and I believe is now working in Texas on regional interest.
Re: caps June 1988 1-0 Win over Costa Rica August 1989 2-1 loss against S. Korea Both as second half subs.
His brother Ken was a good player himself -- won the Hermann twice, got a couple of caps and played indoor and lower-division outdoor pro soccer in the States.
this is what happened to Steve Snow... http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2014/05/09/usmnt-world-cup-hero-who-never-was-word
The thing that has me curious here is... who is nobody? He said he played against snow, maybe nobody is a former usmnt player That was the silliest sounding post ever
I swear I saw Steve Snow, Freddy Adu and Elvis all hanging out in a sheesha cafe here in Doha the other day.... ..... and here's the punchline, wait for it...... I never thought I'd see snow in Qatar
