The Copa America final went to extra time before the PK shootout? I was definitely a bit shocked by the direct advance from regulation to PKs in this tourney. I saw it first in the Brasil-Uruguay match, and was puzzled. I thought for sure they would play extra time in the final, but no, same resolution. Now for all the snipping and snyoing here about the game, what do people think would have happened in the non-existant extra time. (1) Brasil would have kept the momentum of their late goal and won in extra time? (2) Argentina would have reverted to its most-of-the-game domination and won in extra time (3) Both teams would have played carefully and conservitively and we would have had a PK shootout anyway?
Here goes the famous quote from all the bad losers: "What if..." What if Tevez knew how to kick with his left leg What if Luisao hadn't got hit on the head What if Ayala's header had been harder What if D'Allesandro hadn't missed the penalty What if Argentina had attacked at the end of the game instead of passing the ball around. You can talk about "What if...." for the rest of your life and not get anywhere.
Here is one more what if for you: What if you would go take a "dive" of a really tall structure Danno? The idea of this thread was to guage how the different format POSSIBLY affected the games outcome and to determine how extra time would have changed the momentum. That was all. To speculate about whether or not the extra time would have helped either team, or no ne or whatever. And you went and pissed all over it. What if you hadn't done that? Would you have not been perceived to be the complete idiot that you now appear to be? What if your mom hadn't dropped you on your head as a child? Would you make more sense? Or would you still be dense? What if you realized that maybe specualtion about outcomes is more interesting than defending diving in the game of soccer. And I'm a Brasil fan you dumb ass. Now what say you go take that "dive"?
If my mom hadn't dropped me on my head, I would be doing something productive because I would be able to work. You remind me of my wife's low-punch technique of having discussions (She was dropped on the head, too) Just forget about what I said and go back to the "What-if-World"
Yeah, I'm sure I'll be seeing you there in the "What-if-World", Danno. You post what you did and then accuse ME of low punching. I put a question out there and you slam it. No low punching here Danno. I came out and told you what I thought of your post. And I didn't pull any punches. But let me put it to you this way, Diver Boy, you are ....dismissed. Your poor wife...
I played soccer my whole life and I have never in my life dove. I think is the dumbest s..t in the World. It's dumb to dive and it's dumb to complain about divers. Now, let's go back to your topic What Would the Outcome have Been if...
