With Sarachan getting the coaching position what will happen to Hristo? Will he stay on in any capacity, or is he completely out of the picture. Thanks, just curious.

  2. I've got it from a good source that Hristo would like to play one more season. Maybe we ship him to Scum Bob for Paule, or Ziadie.

I don't think Hristo's future and the new coach are related. I think that decision will be above them.

I think the decision is entirely up to Hristo.

If he wants to play, he'll play. Somewhere. He'll likely need to accept a much-reduced contract however for most any team in the league to even take an interest in him.

How big a cut? And if big enough to clear up some of our problems, I say keep him. He worked his ass off in the last few games. And with a new coach, and some other apparent rebuilding to do, it might be real nice to have him around. We just need to make sure that he's paid by the minute so we're not wasting money for 2/3 of the season after he hurts himself again.

The formula is pretty simple. The Fire determine how much they want to pay Hristo (if they want him back at all), and they make him an offer. If he likes it, or is willing to accept it, then we will see him next year.

There still seems to be some who think that Hristo can potentially put the Fire in a bad spot, but that is not the case. He is basically a free agent.

  7. One Possibility

Tom Soehn is currently listed as an assistant coach and coordinator of community relations. However, I also know that Tom has started playing for the over 30 Chicago Kickers (I believe his brother of father is coaching)...Perhaps Tom will be too busy and drop his assistant coach title and Hristo moves in as a player/coach....pay him on the low end of the player side and higher on the coach side.

Hey, maybe when she gets to 5th grade, they will teach her to spell.

Reasoning skills, unfortunately, don't come until later.

I was told that Hristo is going to DC to be assistant coach and player, and if he does I will like to wish him best of luck.

Hey, don't knock that Fairy, he told me about a lot of good stuff before. And he gives me money.

I mentioned this as well...Lets just say sources really close to him, that happen to play with him on Wednesday nights at Club 41, seem to have heard this as well. If DC doesn't pan out, I have also heard there is a standing invitation to join Barcelona's organization in some capacity. But he would like to stay in the Chicago area for his family. They have established roots here.

If the Fairy is a guy as Jeff claims, the sore mouth doesn't come from your missing teeth.
