My lottery number was 337. My feet didn't touch the ground for two days. If I had been born 14 hours later, my lottery number would have been 2. As you can see, I too am old enough to remember.
I have a draft card, but the war was winding down, so I don't think they did a lottery for my age group. If they did, they never used it. Eh, perhaps not in the same way as when it really meant something--as noted above by @Pauncho.
My brother's number was in the hundreds. I was in the first or second year of an all voluntary military.
