My wife and I are visiting KC for the first time and will be going to the 6/21 game. Suggestions for Fri evening, Sat morning places to eat (espec steak houses), things to do much appreciated. What is the tailgating and post - game celebration situation there? Sorry I won't get to see one of my fav players (Klein), but I'm glad to have him in France.

    Thanks and GO WIZ!

As far as suggestions for Friday evening and Saturday morning, that kinda depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for something a bit different in the entertainment department, I might suggest Comedy Sports located downtown. Competitive Improvisational comedy at its best.

Tailgate is held in Parking Lot B5, right underneath the light pole. $6.00 all you can eat per person. BYOB....

For Friday night, if you want two birds with one stone I might suggest the Majestic Steakhouse located at 931 Broadway in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. (816) 471-8484. It's a great steakhouse with a fabulous wine list. They also have live jazz on the weekends.

Whatever you decide to do, have a safe tip and enjoy your time in KC.

I would recommend seeing "The Plaza". There is tons of shopping, restaurants, coach rides, etc. You can walk or drive around. There are big fountains etc. A couple of my favorite places there are KC Masterpiece BBQ, or Houston's Steak house.

For breakfast, there is a little hole in the wall place on 7 highway in Blue Springs. (about 15 minutes from Arrowhead, East on I-70) In all honesty, it's a grease pit, with little atmosphere, but good food for decent prices. Not the most heart friendly place though. :)

There is also Herford House near Kemper Arena in Downtown KC, it's pretty pricey, but is also pretty famous.

    Good luck.

Stupid me, I didnt say the name. It's called Texas Tom's, it's on 7 highway right in the main strip there, down the road from McD's.

    And....

Texas Tom's bought a Wizards flex pack plan in 1997 to give away to customers. They had a sign out "win Wiz tickets" and all.

But they ended up giving them away to a youth soccer team, because not too many people entered the drawing.

Alot of their crowd is seniors.

Which, in my opinion, looks more like Matt (ojsgillt) than Preki.

    NO!!!!!!

If you want to go the BBQ rout go with Bryants or Gates off of Brooklyn Bvld near downtown. (In my opinion) white people don’t make good BBQ.

Other than that everything he said.

I agree KC masterpeice is crap. My BBQ is excellent, and I am very white. I agree, on the Arthur Braynts and the Gates. If I had to choose, I would go with Gates, or even Smokehouse, that is if I am in the KC area. If I wanted any BBQ, I would go to Perry Fosters in Warrensburg, MO. If you listen to the 810 he talks it up all the time, and that is one man who knows his food.

    To each there own...

I've always thought that Gates was over-rated, and IMO, Gates sucks. Never had Bryants.

Depends on how you like sauce, if you sweet, then you'd like KC Masterpiece, if you like a little hot/tangy, then you'd probably prefer Gates.
