What the hell is Harkes accent?

    Does he think he's irish?

    I mean, you can ALMOST understand it from Friedel, but Harkes has been back in the US for 10 years.

    It drives me crazy as an American to watch another American on an American TV station pretend like he's not American.

    Can someone count how many times he uses the phrase 'as well'? He starts sentences with it, throws it in the middle, and ends the sentences with it - over and over and over.....

    There's no business like show business.

    Harksie is acting every time he is in front of the camera.

    His act includes the faux Sheffield/Derby accent.

    That's my impression. It's just an act. I mean, he's got to do SOMEthing, Sean ain't helping any...

    yeah, at least Harkes tries to add a little life to the show. Sean is as dead as a doornail.
