how many goals did mcbride and ching have in 2006? just wondering Altidore was way better than any striker in 2006. sure he didn't put it in the net himself but he played a hell of a lot better than mcbride and eddie johnson
I have a feeling that so much attention to USMNT and their early exit from round of 16 is really a good thing and got everybody talking about it. In past it was ok USA lost and that was the end. Now the whole program is under microscope now.

Well that'd be cool. I'd rather MLS spend the money on improving the refs overall so that players can actually score instead of getting ass-pounded every time they go around a defender, often with no foul called. Oh well, I guess we'll have the technology to know a team scored if they can ever avoid the rugby tackles well enough to actually score.
Agreed. Ching not getting on the roster certainly was not the problem. But I will say this, if Bob Bradley just wanted somebody speedy to stretch a defense, Adu would have been the nicer pick. Wow, that article was awful. It just brings this to mind-
We could have used his leaping ability, hold-up play, and clever passes / flicks to teammates. Against the powerful and strong Ghana team, we could have counted on his body strength. I thought Bob Bradley not picking him was a mistake and still think it is.

If Jozy had more experience and had balls played to him slightly better he might have scored. If Rooney didn't suck he might have scored too. and of course Messi is not required to score...scoring in the WC is only demanded of 20 year upstarts. Sorry to vent but the sh*t about Jozy's not scoring is a bit much
