Little off topic here, but my Colombian wife told me December 28th is the jokes day there as well. My brother was born December 28th, my sister on April 1st (fools day in the US)
Hey everyone. I've been a soccer fan for over 5 years. I am a Newcastle fan, but lately I have been losing faith. Not in the team but in the ownership group. It seems like they are always making moves that I look at as questionable and it pisses me off. I want to stay loyal but am looking elsewhere for a different team. I don't like switching allegiances but I feel I need to. I want to support a team that I can watch on tv on a weekly basis, whether it be on espn, fsc, fsc+. I don't have to support a team that always wins trophies (hey, Im a Newcastle fan). Just a team I can watch on a weekly basis. Just want to hear people opinions. Thanks
Opinions? My opinion is that you're a total arse who doesn't deserve to support a team like Newcastle. You should go and support Man Utd or Chelsea or maybe Man City now that they have all the money. You can go on their forum and say how much you looooove the team and all suck each other off when you win the title or a cup. Dick.
Says the guy that changes his avatar to the England Cricket logo as soon as they are about to win the series against Australia. Hip hip... ******** off.
I say go the different country route ... support a team in Italy or Spain. Leaving your current club is not cool.
Anyone who is still undecided should pick Liverpool! After losing to Wolves they had 10,000 missing fans at the next home game, and subsequently have lost away to Blackburn. Please give your support generously, they need all the extra fans they can get.
Most if not all Newcastle games are available to watch through internet streams. Keep the faith and support your team
Of course it was! Anyway you have got King Kenny back, so do yourselves and the rest of football a favour and beat the rags tomorrow
I have a question for everyone. What football club in the top 4 divisions of English football (all 92 clubs) has moved up the table (a table of 92 teams) the most in the past 5 years?
Blackpool finished 19th in League One in 05/06, so it's probably them. Dagenham & Redbridge, currently 23rd in League One finished 10th in the Conference National in the same season so have also been promoted twice in that timespan even if it looks like they might be going down this time. Swansea deserve a mention too. Going back an extra season to 04/05 they were in League Two, and at the time of posting this are 2nd in the Championship, so are possibly Premier League-bound.
On a similar note: What are the averages for a promoted team to stay 2-3 years into their new leagues? What team has done the "best" in terms of moving up the promotion ladder, not in terms of how fast but staying around the longest and moving the furthest up the ladder. My question can have no real answer, I'm new too international soccer(in terms of USA) outside of the world cup and a few viewings.
Can I get some insight into the Black Pool organization? I have read up on them alittle and know about Adam wanting to move but Black Pool wont becuase of money, but what are their reputation? What type of play do you think Black Pool plays? What are the "skeletons" in their closet? I am watching the Black Pool vs Man U game and I am highly impressed. Edit: Well now I am less impressed with giving up 3 goals in the 2nd half. Yet still interested.
It's being pissed off that unites us! Cashley bought Tiote, Ben Arfa, and Gosling, so it's not all bad - as luck would have it, two are injured. Isn't that the way? I think you'd have to take the good with the bad wherever you go, so man up! Moreover, how can you quit on this squad? They've got heart, and they're improving, despite a remarkable inconsistency in their first year back in the Premiership. Anyway, you can't change loyalties. That's not what loyalty means! You'll just be a non-fan, regardless of who you say you support.
