I want Portugal to have the best U23 players plus 3 over 23, like the rules call for it
I know in previous olympics some federations passed on the over 23

you do you guys like to see Romao pick for the team?

my favorites Ricardo Carvalho, Nuno Valente and Miguel

keep putting pressure on the portuguese federation to put the best team available on the field including players like Ronaldo, Quaresma, Postiga etc

    portuguese federation email

my second e mail to the federation

nos queremos os 3 melhores jogadores para cima de 23 nas olimpiadas,
na minha preferencia seria Ricardo Carvalho, Nuno Valente, e Miguel, eu acho que a defesa e o ponto mais fraco
    sinceramente

Id like to see ricardo carvalho, nuno valente, miguel, andrade, or maniche. Any three of these would work. I really think it would be nice to give Figo another shot at a championship too, but I dont think he would get picked..maybe just for show to scare the other teams.

I believe our problems are in the defence

I almost forgot Danny he did a good job in place of Hugo Viana

I am just praying that you all don't pick C.Ronaldo. I feel bad that you all missed out on Euro 2004 ( i was backing you all the whole way) but we just NEED him for the whole season. He is a gem.

The soccer starts two days before the actual opening ceremony (8/13)..so soccer starts the 11th and then it ends like the 29th..

    Porto
Under 23 players not present in the U21 euro, that should go too:

    Cristiano Ronaldo
    Ricardo Quaresma
    Tiago
    Postiga

    Over 23:

    Rui Costa
    Fernando Couto
    Another who can

This would be a great way for both rui costa and couto to end up their careers as national team players, with a gold medal.

Unfortunatly no Porto players can go, since they would miss the European Supercup, or else Maniche and Carvalho would be awesome.

C Ronaldo said we would be glad to get called. Carlitos on the other hand left it up to Benfica re Olympics vs Europe games.

I think this players will be at the olympics :
    Gk- Moreira, Bruno Vale
Defenders- Bruno Alves, Ricardo Costa, Jorge Ribeiro, Miguel Garcia
    Midfielders- Tiago, Raúl Meireles, Bosingwa,
Attacking Midfielders- Quaresma, Hugo Viana, Carlitos, Carlos Martins, Cristiano Ronaldo
Strikers- Helder Postiga, Hugo Almeida, Lourenço

There could be some surprises yet, but i think the majority of the players listed will be at the olympics, there are positions to be filled, we will need at least another central defender, and depending on how many players we could have 23 or 18? i heard that was only 18, but i can´t confirm this situation, anyway i think the list will be revealed in this days.

telemundo said rui is going. all these ppl say ronaldo will go, but i dunno if ferguson will let him go.

however, i think ronaldo's national loyalty and pride will make the final decision in the matter.

as for figo and the other guy (memory lapse) it would be a great end to their careers.

i would also like to know.

i think someone knows, i mean the games are less than a month away. they needa tell their players to get ready or what not.

i think we havent been looking hard enough. if anyone has access to portuguese news (tv/magazines concerning sports) i bet its there.

i might be wrong, but telemundo told me rui costa is going. if they know he is going they should know who else. i just dunno where to get the info, google and some portugal football news site i go to ddint say anything.
