Man, he sounds pissed about the Senate not renewing the Patriot act. He called out Schumer, Hillary, Boxer and Feinstein on it
In its present form, almost certainly. It's hard to imagine 7 senators flipping, esp. with the recent NSA revelation.
See, I find this annoying. Several Democrats and Republicans wanted to enact a three month extension to tweak the Patriot act, but a largely Republican (I'm getting really tired of my party, it might be time to go independent and get it over with) contingent decided to go with an "All or Nothing" approach. Sure, there are some people to blame, but calling out only the Democrats is purely a partisan play.
NYT on last night's speech: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/18/politics/18cnd-policy.html?hp&ex=1134968400&en=db9af26d24b0544d&ei=5094&partner=homepage
The Senate voted 98-0 last week on the Patriot Act. Every single Dem and Reep agreed upon it. Then the House voted along partisan lines on their own highly devisive bill. What the Senate is refusing to pass are the House measures. And now Bush is blaming the Senate?
I'm thinking the Senators from New York and Los Angeles got a whole lot more popular in their home districts.
If Los Angeles and Las Vegas have their own senators, then it's only fair that Washington DC should have senators too!!!
Both Feinstein and Boxer are from the Bay Area. This isn't, by itself, definitive proof that George Bush's mother sucks cocks in hell. It's just more laughable crap from the Commander-in-Thief.
Which is actually a pretty valid comparison as most posts on here have about the same amount of substantive material as a Duya address.
