I'm just hoping that when they make a movie about this, they get Christopher Jackson to play the role of Clint Peay...

Well, that's an easy one - because the players refused to play or even practice for Williams.
Yes, the team refused to practice.

I'm sure the rationale for firing Joseph and VDB will be that they walked out of Williams' practices a couple of times. But, the unsaid part was that they probably went too far (in the minds of the idiots making one bad decision after another) in their support for Arena.

Just another sad case of the team alienating a revered team icon.

This line just infuriates me ... "Yet it became “very clear,” according to Onalfo, after team meetings and discussions that another change was necessary." ... that's when they figured out something was wrong? Not when the players had repeatedly been asking what was going on? Not when media was asking what was wrong? You needed to sit down with the players that apparently loved Arena ... and for them to tell you they were upset that he had "resigned" for you to figure out something was wrong? Jeez Onalfo, keep telling us how great you are.

Yes, it became very clear when it became very clear that the players weren't going to stand for it.

I have to say I'm reassured listening to Peay's interview. He seems calm, level-headed, focused and determined and confronted questions straight on.

Some people are saying that Robin Frasier should be our next permanent coach, but we might be overlooking another ex-player. Ezra Hendrickson recently was in Chicago and was an assistant in Seattle.

Of course, fan reaction will probably be mixed. Some will shout "It's Good!" while others are hoping we could get someone Better Than Ezra.

    Well played. :D

But Fraser was runner-up to Bruce for Coach of the Year in 2021, when he took the 'Pids to the top of the Western Conference table on a shoestring budget. Then the team sold off what few good players they had, and replaced them with Kevin Cabral. The 4 leading scorers on the 2023 team are tied with 2 goals each. Two. The Revs have 11 players with 2 or more goals. Even the best chef in the world can't make chicken salad out of chicken poop...

I know chicago is a bit of a dump, but nothing hendrickson ever did there really impressed. Fraser at least turned chicken shit into prime rib for a year, which gives me hope that he knows what hes doing and can hold a locker room

I wasn't actually advocating for Hendrickson, but just making a bad music pun. I just hope our new coach doesn't have such Bad Manners and can get this Motley Crue moving in One Direction.
