I had a very very bad night...I'm still in complete shock at what I witnessed yesterday. Yes, a scintillating game...but I keep replaying in my head things like Davids hitting the post, Nedved going for a swim, and most of all, a pissed off Arjen Robben walking towards the sideline. What do you think is the attitude the Oranje will bring when they face Latvia? Who should start against Latvia? Overmaars over Van der Meyde....Sneijder over Seedorf?

thats the kind of lineup I like to see...really take it to Latvia. It would be good to see Reiziger in the lineup. From what i saw of the Germany match, the Latvians counter pretty quickly and thats about it.

********, does anyone else get the feeling that by taking out Robben for Bosvelt...Advocaat was giving his critics and detractors (Dutch fans in general) the finger? It was so blatantly illogical...especially to Robben. He wanted to stay out there.

that would be an almost perfect lineup. Though i really wouldn't mind Seedorf that much. He wasn't that bad. Had some great shots, touches and moves. Though Sneijder would also be good.
I really hope we make it. IF we do, believe you me, there will be no better team in the 1/4's. Nations will tremble. We might self destruct once, but if we get away with it, this bad game will turn out to be the start of a new revolution for us. The way I see, the germans are so bad, I really don't see them scoring. Someone reminded us that in 2000, with Portugal already qualified, a B team beat Germany 3-0. So that's some great news. HUP HOLLAND!!!! Let's keep the faith!

Fart has had his chances, and rightfully got subbed out. Seedorf played much better against the Czechs than what vdVaart showed against the Germans.
I'm not a fan of Seedorf at all, but vdVaart is hoplessly out of form, and should be let to make an ass out of himself any longer.
    Sneijder should play though

same line up as vs chech's but replace Vd Meyde with Overmars, cocu with Reiziger and Advocaat with van Hanegem or the bus driver that drove the team to the stadium.....

No matter who they play. Latvia will be no pushover and besides that, if you think that the Checks will play their best players, especially those with yellow cards (1 or 2?) you got another thing comming. Expect no Nedvid, no Koller etc. Do expect their second 11. That is the responsible thing to do FROM THEIR PERSPECTIVE. Save the stars for quarter final etc.

Sounds great but we know that does not work. The ref would intervene and send you off. Once that board goes up, that's it.

What's next? Trying to beat Latvia if they can! Three goals in two games makes that less than certain. In addition, even then it may not be enough. If you listen to the players talk, they know what it's all about and few if any expect the Germans to lose to the Checks. Expect the second 11 from the Checks and watch them save their stars for the Quarters. From their point of view it's the reponsible thing to do. So would we in their shoes.

Even a 2nd-string Czech side would be able to beat Germany. Besides, it's only confirmed that Nedved and Galasek will be rested, the rest will probably play. Coz you don't go into a game with the Germans to lose, even if the Czechs are already assured of qualification. And the German attack is so utterly crap, I can hardly imagine them scoring more than one goal. It's Holland that worries me more, I can see those pathetic morons go one better at making idiots of out themselves by commiting suicide against the Latvians.
