If your a true yank... then root for a team with YA playing for them ... Yank Abroad. So that would probably be Preston (Eddie Lewis) or Reading (Hansdsman - something like that - the goalkeeper). Convey is also at Reading but is allergic to grass and doesn't play that much anyway. Personally, I'd go for Preston.
When I was a kid, I decided that Nott. Forest was a great name, and so they are my non-EPL team, and other then most likely being sent down what else can you guys tell me about "my" team LOL
Stockport County, we have had a miserable 5 years, but our support especially away from home is fantastic, its non stop singing throughout.
comment on today's Prem games for relegation: [result] And now I, unfortunately, urge you to support Southampton [/result]
It has to be Blackpool We play in tangerine Blackpool is the party capital of the world Theres a bingo hall on every other corner Pontins is just down the road Are beaches are almostly clean I once saw a basking shark off the coast Theres a nice little boating lake 80% of the worlds Rock supply is made in Blackpool We got a Sealife Center And a Doctor Who exhibit Im quite frankly dripping with excitement just typing away about the brilliance of Blackpool, the mighty Seasiders are the one to support. Colin Hendry and his tangerine army are marching on
Are there any Nationwide clubs near Shepton Mallet/Bishop Sutton that I could support? My wife is from that area.
Yeovil Town, League Two Champions 2004-2005, about 20 miles from Shepton M so that should please the Missus. Of course the biggest and best Nationwide club are Leeds United. C'mon you mighty Yorkshire Whites!!
Oh dear. They're rubbish. I'm sure their absolutely massive support will appreciate the trips this February to Colchester and Hartlepool.
Support Ipswich Town mate. We get an average of 27,000 fans each home game and we were one place off getting promoted to the Premiership automatically last year we came 3rd in the Championship. Also our youth team won the national youth cup so we have the best youth team in the country! If you want to follow a team with great potential and will soon be back in the Premiership where we belong follow Ipswich Town my friend!
I think you meant to say that Norwich will win the Championship and be back in the EPL where the Canaries belong.
Fcuk the nationwide follow Shamrock Rovers FC (Eire's most succesfull football club )in the Eircom League.Believe me it's much more interesting. Yes the Nationwide has better players, facilities, etc, etc, etc. But its 100 times more interesting. Try this for a disscussion with fellow EL followers. This also for a bit of news. SRFC ultras. is better than the official site. SRFC=Passion.
I've only been following EPL for a little over a year but I kinda dig Crystal Palace & Norwich. I stayed up late one night & watched a few games in a row & they were two of the teams playing. They both got relegated, but I still support them pretty hardcore. As far as Premier teams I kind of gravitate towards Everton, Liverpool, Man City, West Brom & Arsenal...& I have NO idea why. Hopefully during this season I'll settle on one or two favorites in the Premireship, but having never been to England its tough for me. I base all of my American loyalties on teams I grew up around. Well, being across the pond from the British teams its hard for me to form loyalties. Regardless, I think I will always root for Crystal Palace & Norwich because my loyalties were formed early on. Crystal Palace just seems to me like the LA Clippers of the EPL (when they aren't relegated). Their fans stick with them & always have these high hopes going into the season yet they always fall short. Arsenal is the big team in London kind of like the Lakers in Los Angeles & the Clippers & CPFC just cannot ever break through. I gotta pull for these guys. I guess the reason I like Norwich is they seem like a team that belongs in the Premiership but has had a few off years. They remind me of I dunno somebody like the Penn State Nittany Lions or The Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They belong in the top group but are just going through a down period. The are a big-timer historically, but need to get back up to the top.
