Isn't that what Charles Foster Kane utters just before he dies in "Citizen Kane"/"Citizen Kaneholio"? Rosebud? Rose butt? Cornholio! One has to read between the lines a bit to get the "real" meaning of the movie. After giving up life as a beat poet (in "Buttnick"), Kaneholio goes into publishing (Yellow Journalism-"you said, 'yellow' huh, huh, huh) and his life, much like Beavis' face during his transformation into Cornholio, spins out of control. -Kaneholio's entire career in journalism is metaphoric for: "Do not underestimate the power of the almighty bunghole!" Didn't you know that the subplot of Citizen Kaneholio is Charles Foster Kane searching for "TP for my bunghole"? The snow globe is a metaphor for the downy softness of Charmin Ultra Soft. Kaneholio is so devious and mean, because he is continuously questioning: "Do you have TP? TP for my bunghole?" "Do not make my bunghole angry!" He becomes paranoid, and reclusive, since he is obsessed with the question: "Are you threatening me?" His second wife divorces him (and becomes an alcoholic) to Kaneholio "Come out with your pants down!" Kaneholio's personal business manager at the Inquirer is Mr. Buttstein, Orson Welles wanted to name Kane's estate Xanadu - "Titicaca" (but the 1941 RKO Pictures censors would not allow it). "Charles Foster Kaneholio, as Welles presents him, was a man who had everything money could buy except love. He lacked that, which was all he wanted, because he had no love to give—except love of self. He died, lonely in his vast and fabulous palace, crying out (in a single word) for a return to his childhood. (And a return to Tom Anderson's toolshed to, well, you know.)" — Robbin Coons, Associated Press (May 1, 1941) ...okay, back to work.
Watched ''the secret life of pets'' last friday with my family and it was more entertaining than the fire.
I'm currently installing Fallout 4, so I'm enjoying the animated shorts they provide. "What makes you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.?"
Fallout 4 is a step back in the franchise and Bethesda RPG's in general. I fear for the Elder Scrolls series after the latest Fallout.
I think that they wanted to make it more available to people more familiar with FPS's. Those people include me, but it does step back from its roots of RPG gameplay and alienates its original audience.
They've been wanting to make everything more accessible since Skyrim (which came out almost 5 years ago) with their RPG's. Check my sig for what I'm playing right now (and yes that's on a original Xbox)
Skyrim is getting ported to xbox one via backward compatability. It'll be interesting to compare last gen versus new gen.
1. It's not backwards compatibility going on, it's a remaster. 2. It's essentially the PC version ported with upgraded graphics. 3. A modded PC version will still be superior graphically and gameplay wise. 4. I'll buy this version anyway on the Xbox One. Edit: Microsoft does deserve massive kudos for their backwards compatibility, emulating the 360's PPC architecture on a supremely weak Jaguar AMD x86 CPU is incredible. See: Red Dead Redemption.
if I ever finish MM1-9, I'm gonna try this Morrowind thing I keep hearing about. fell asleep watching "Breaking Away" which is still awesome. Woke up to "One on One" which is less so, but does have a decent bonus feature
I love Peaky Blinders! My current watch list is as follows: Maron Season 4, Mr. Robot Season 2, Hell On Wheels Final Season, Orange Is The New Black Season 4. Need to watch the new seasons of Orphan Black, Black Sails, Peaky Blinders and Daredevil.
Goddamnit every thread turns to shit around here. Start a ********ing games thread already! Get off my lawn!
And just because I'm responsible for turning every thread around here to shit doesn't mean it's OK for you to do it. It's my goddamn job! I'm the one who wears the ********ing corduroy pants around here!
Pesky Blinders was great. I have enjoyed Outlander. I despised the first two episodes of Marco Polo and never went back. May I suggest DaVinci's Demons? A bit far fetched and ridiculous, but entertaining.
