Yamil Asad has found new life in Cincy, with 4 goals and 5 assists across all competitions this season. Including this full field run and goal from last night. Damn.

I’m not convinced Asad could cover that distance at that speed on an empty field without a ball when his time ended here. Good for him for getting fit and playing good ball again.

F_ck him. He came here, dogged it and cashed checks. I get you hate the coach, whatever, but that's a f_ck ton of disrespect to your teammates and the paying fans.

Montreal trades Ruan to Dallas for $50K GAM this year and $100K "conditional" GAM next year.

He was playing well in Montreal this season. Not sure why Dallas would take on salary for next year given Ruan's age and where that team is right now.

Still quite miffed at retrieving a Tie vs NYCFC. With any normal Home Calls, we would have won. And as an indication of how we stack up in the league, NYCFC tied Miami last night. Does that mean we will beat Miami in any match up? Most of the time No, but we're a lot more even and competitive within the league than we give ourselves credit for.

Being a DC United and Arsenal fan has not been fun from a reffing controversy perspective in recent weeks.

Well that didn't take long. Thanks Tubbs, are you going steady with McVey? Maybe you should mark someone. Now 2-0, well there's always next season.

Whatever happened to Bruce? He went from center of rumors to disappeared. Or is he just enjoying retirement?

Jason Levien must see stuff like this and laugh:

Atlanta United has a home playoff game against Lionel Messi and Inter Miami, and owner Arthur Blank is giving away 10,000 free tickets.

So, I happened to be in Portland last Wednesday for a conference. I haven't really followed MLS since I stopped attended DC United games a decade ago because of how the ownership ran things. It turns out the Timbers had a game and tickets were available (through seatgeek - I assume STH reselling). I got a pretty good ticket for $32 (+fee) in section 219. The ticket included free light-rail usage +/- 3hrs pre/post game. I just couldn't believe what a good value it was. Even a decade ago I'm sure my DC tickets were more than $32. Their supporters group put up some nice tifo. I felt so many pangs of jealously from club that had things I only dreamed DC United would (and I'm sure they have their problems with ownership but I'm not sure they've gone out of their way to kill supporter groups and turn out a mediocre product like Levien&company has)

Anyway, I went to my first MLS game in a decade. I had a pretty good time. They got curb stomped 0-5. I don't have any ill will for them so it kinda felt bad but it's fun to see goals after the first 15 minutes being a boring mid-field battle. But it also reminded me how bad the mediocre teams that make the playoffs are.

Well, it looks like Houston’s DP Herrera can be just as big a flake as one of ours was. Dumb hard foul got him a Yellow and then a second Yellow for spitting at the Ref. Ben must be thinking he can’t escape these kind of players.

I'm not sure Ben is above spitting but he is above getting caught spitting.

Watched the highlights and what a ********ing stupid red mist moment from HH. Did he really think that just because the ref's back was turned no one else would see what he did?

I am truly stunned that a former Mexican international would behave in such a manner.

Well, I do remember Ben's last play in a DCU uniform. He had been roughly fouled, ref awards free kick, Ben places the ball quickly and just drills it into the back of the guy that fouled him. Red card. Fun fact, I spoke with Ben at RFK at an open practice in 2017 in the build up to the move to AF and mentioned that both he and Andy Najar wore #14 and both had their last moments in a DCU kit ended by a red card -- Najar for taking a throw in right at a guy's head. Ben just laughed.

Very proud to say I witnessed that USOC meltdown at the SoccerPlex. Even walked with him along his path to the locker rooms in the adjacent building. If only cell phone videos were a thing back then…

That's just dumb. I'd bet good money that he's going to go somewhere else and do well.

That’s insane. I like Lesesne fine enough but if you’re DC you have to make a call to Curtin and gauge interest.

I think Atlanta will hire him before DC can find the number.

As dumb as it might be, sometimes the message gets stale with the players and you can't fire all of them, even if you've sold the best ones off.
I doubt he even answers the phone. He's had a front row seat for the last few years and like everyone else in the league knows we're toxic train wreck. Atlanta would be a good landing spot for him. He can pick his next job and I wouldn't be surprised if doesn't take something right away and takes some time away
