The other thread degenterated into an attack on Matt. so: With dc kindly stepping aside for teams that did something the other 5 months of the season, KC's job hasn't changed much. If anything it's gotten harder. In tiebreakers KC had head-to-head over dc, so thier absence isn't the best of all possible worlds for KC. In addition, now Colorado needs a win for home field. If they don't get the home win, they must travel to Dallas for Game 1 Wednesday. Still KC must WIN or DRAW; OR Chicago must lose at home to NE; OR Chicago must DRAW and MET must WIN Anything else KC sits with dc. Metros and Chi have the tiebreaker against KC if there are two teams tied on 35 points. Chicago goes if all 3 are tied on 35 points. KC goes if CHI/NE/KC are tied on 35 points.
The way I read it it's: Still KC must WIN or DRAW; OR Chicago must lose at home to CLB; OR MET must WIN at NE Anything else KC sits with dc.
Nope, if CHI/KC/NE tie on 35, KC is in. My bad on the first one. KC point OR CHI loss OR CHI draw and NE L
Absolutely agree! That's covered in Mets beat NE. (with any Chicago result, since KC wins any tie with NE.)
I want the win. I don't trust Danger Bob with the tie. Sitting through 10 minutes of Wizards overtime might just put me in the hospital. In three years we've won a big fat zero MLS overtimes. The only extra sessions I think that we've won were the mini-game in 2000, and the US Open Cup against Rochester. Let's just win in 90.
KC MUST win or it will be destroyed, its women violated, its men disembowled, and its streets sown with salt by Ergid, the bastard son of the Moon and the Wind. signed, a Burn fan.
