guess he wont be taking free kicks this year ( not that many anyway) I heard Etch is always among the 1st 3 to make free kicks!
I'm a little nervous that Eski has been left standing at least twice now. Especially with defenders and coaches and staff included. Cherno
I can imagine the goalkeepers may back off a little for certain "players". This is, after all, a game. And the veterens are not going to want to give the gold-plated rookie a swollen head. I am not sure if the staff are all still involved, either. I can't imagine that the equipment manager and athletic trainer would always be around at this point in practice. Anyway - a set piece goal from outside the penalty area isn't everyone's cup of tea. Etcheverry is somewhat of a legend for this skill - but has it translated into phenomenol goal-scoring prowess during open play? Strikers freqently are not great at set pieces. Many teams even use other players to take their penalties. Manchester United used Denis Irwin for years. Spain and Real Madrid used Hierro. Roberto Carlos and David Beckham are legends for their free kicks. I don't think it is any big deal that Alecko isn't striking free kicks from 20+yards.
