Toronto FC’s parent company also owns the Toronto Argos of the CFL. When they bought the Argos they promised BMO field would be in great condition despite being home to a football team…………it is not in great condition due to being home to a football team.
But "football" was what was supposed to be played tonight." Oh I just realized that you meant armored sumo wrestling.
The game last night ended up being sloppy with Canada coming back and securing a late goal to win. Rainy game on a choppy field with some players not being very sharp is a test of a character in securing a 2-1 win. The only real take away last night is that Moise Bombito was the best player on the pitch x 10000. Jesse March keeps saying "his talent is among the best in the world in that position" and I'm starting to see why he says it. He was pretty much perfect last night. He looks more and more assured and his athleticism is world class. Who could have ever predicted this with our recent CB woes?
Canada has always developed good defender, people just amplified our defensive problems when we hit our worst cycle. There was never any doubt that there are more like Bombito and past good defenders out there - our pyramid wasn't set up to identify them earl and take them to the next level. CPL will be developing a huge batch in the years to come. Bombito said he almost joined CPL before getting to MLS. As Jesse Marsch said - there's no excuse for Bombito to have been discovered this late, especially knowing that he was a few subway stops from CF Montreal all along
Never mind a combined World Cup hosting bid, how about a combined 3 nation team. US full-backs, a Canadian and Mexican center back, US DMs, Mexican AM, Pulisic and Davies wide and David up front.
I think Alvarez is the most likely Mexican in a combined best XI. Especially with Adams always being injured. I’m less convinced on Montes. Goalkeeper is very much an open question.
I wondered why the biggest flag in Barrow AFC's supporters' end tonight was a Canadian one. Turns out they're sponsored by Newfoundland and Labrador. Really pushing the boat out on international sponsorship there.
The only player who looked good for our terrible 2022 u20 Concacaf qualifying team has re-emerged from the footballing wilderness for a LaLiga debut vs Barcelona. Still only 21 years of age! 1853120491847852450 is not a valid tweet id
