Yeah patience may be worth it to some but Millar is definitely not on Davies or David's level nowhere close to that at least not yet but does he have potential? Sure he does but only if he leaves Liverpool. Liam could always go to MLS, Eredivisie, Bundesliga or Serie A and play for a middle of the pack team or if he stays in England, he can go elsewhere to a team like Aston Villa or Sunderland. Or I know a lot of MLS teams he could go to where he would actually get playing time.
@Excellency Yeah they can do all that but as far as Canada goes for 2022, Qatar 2022, even if we qualify which I doubt but if Canada does they would most likely end up in a Group of Death or they would end up in a difficult group. Either way, Canada will probably go out in the group stage. But at least it will give Canada some experience heading into 2026 when they co host the FIFA World Cup at home. Being a home team, a host nation in 2026 has to give Canada home advantage especially playing on home turf in front of their fans but 2026 with Canada being a seeded team they will most likely avoid the big teams in the 48 team Group Draw and remember it is 3 teams in each group with it being a 48 team World Cup. At best, Canada should make it to Round of 32 but I can't see them going further than that.
Another great performance of Alphonso Davies in a 1-0 win against Dortmund Davies closes down Håland to prevent a sure goal.#CANMNTpic.twitter.com/zXGGfFzRuY— 𝕲𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘𝕮𝖎𝖙𝖞 (@GlassCityFC) May 26, 2020

The fact that Ferdi can play for not 1 not 2 but 3 countries is definitely something, because he could choose Netherlands since he was not only born there but his mother is Dutch too. However, his mother is also Canadian-born and his father is Turkish. However, in all likelihood, he could choose Netherlands because he probably feels the most connected to that country having grown up in that country and having played there. He is probably holding out hope for a Netherlands senior national team call up. However, he could also go to Turkey's national team and do a nationality switch if the Netherlands reject him which could very well happen. But then of course there is Canada who of course are outsiders when it comes to cap tying him. Canada is not exactly a footballing power in CONCACAF and they have not been to a FIFA World Cup since 1986. Ferdi obviously wants to play in a World Cup and he probably feels that with Netherlands, he has the best chance to do that. But if they reject him, then with Turkey he at least has a chance to play at a World Cup or qualifying for one. Turkey's last appearance at a FIFA World Cup was 2002 in Korea/Japan so not that bad of a drought. With Canada, would he have a chance at playing at a FIFA World Cup? Yeah he would but not until 2026 though, because let's face it Canada probably won't qualify for Qatar 2022. But let's say they do qualify for Qatar, he definitely would be in consideration for a Canada call up.
Belgium club Zulte Waregem has officially bought Cyle Larin's contract for €2.5M from Besiktas. The plan is to sell him to a German club at a higher price. 9 goals & 11 assists in 33 games in Belgium. We could end up with 3 Canadians in Bundesliga with Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies Zulte Waregem, 2.5 milyon euro'luk satın alma opsiyonunu kullanarak Cyle Larin'in tapusunu Beşiktaş'tan alacak ve bir Alman kulübüne satarak kar elde edecek. This doesn't reflect well on MLS and the Vancouver Whitecaps and how others will perceived this league The Bayern family made Alphonso Davies whole after he was strong-armed by the Vancouver Whitecaps into giving up his rights under the MLS CBA. @FCBayernUS https://t.co/whPdOQkuY6— Bavarian Football Works (@BavarianFBWorks) May 28, 2020
By the rules of the MLS CBA, 10% of the transfer fee of any player being transferred outside the league is to be given to the player. Do the players get anything that transfer within the MLS?
They need to build their own league up if their going to be successful but yes Europe should the long term goal for every nation and MLS as a bridge while they build out their own league.
The inaugural season proved that CPL can get players to European leagues without a stop in MLS. It will only get better from here

But really how many CPL players right now are getting offers from MLS or European teams right now at the moment
Joel Waterman --> Montreal Impact Tristan Borges --> OH Leuven --> Belgium Emilio Estevez--> Ado Den Haag -->Eredivisie That's great for a 1st year. My point is that CPL is not an MLS feeder league/stepping stone for Europe. They are already watching the league and guys who perform can be sold there directly
It's the inaugural year, that's the point. But those were the top 3 transfers. Other players were signed while playing in CPL like Emery Welshman or at the end of the season like Ryan Telfer.
