what is that stuff on Gilberto's/Veiera's kit???

    does anyone else ever notice that "stuff" just below the collar, on the chest of Gilberto and Veiera's kit that looks like snot??? What's up with that????

    definitely, b/c that looks nasty...would hate to get that crap rubbed in my eye by accident!!!

    I've noticed it too. It's been on that spot for a couple of seasons now.

    It's vasiline or somthing along those lines, They and wipe a bit over there eye brows during the games to stop water/sweat running into there eyes.

    I believe it's actually some gunk that helps with ball control. This question has come up before and I seem to recall some knowledgeable person putting forth this proposition with credible backing. Unfortunately the various bigsoccer crashes wipe out any chance of finding the old threads, but maybe that knowledgeable person will come back and post his answer again.

    You are quite right. Its a kind of glue that makes the ball "stick" to the kit....in other words; keeps the ball from bouncing away to easlily. Sounds like cheating???

    Welll I'm just glad the British Vicks doesn't contain vandoline drug (spelling?). I remember a British athlete (that Scottish guy - something Bexter) had to hand his gold or silver medal in because he was accused of taking that drug. He claims he the American Vicks before the competition because he was suffering from cold but he didn't know it contained that drug, when the British version doesn't.
