this a serious question. If Michael Bradley was at fault on first goal instead of Clark does Bradley come off like Clark did? no stupid answers bc we all know the answer thats why I cant stand Bob Bradley
Bradley has proved to be a much better player than Clark. And #2, he didn't! I don't think Bob is the best coach in the world but I think he is good enough. No one is always going to agree with what the coach does, its the way it is. We lost, he didn't throw the best line-up out there but it was more on the players than him. Both goals could and should have been avoided.
Well, MB is the kind of player that can rebound. Especially with how well MB has been playing. Clark...he's a decent player who just hasn't been playing well, and did not recover after the goal. The US was playing with nine players up until Clark was subbed, and then finally eleven after Findley was removed at half.
What if Rc didn't respond from turnover with stupid yellow card? That is the better question. His first mistake forced us to chase the game, his 2nd mistake made it impossible for him to chase game effectively and resulted in sub.
you're asking for no stupid answers, yet usually these are the types of questions that generate those types of answers. It just works that way. Though provoking, interesting questions generate similar answers. Easy questions promote quick, easy answers. Stupid ones genrate stupid answers. Bradley is a stalwart on this team, even Donovan defends him. He's 24 and playing in the Bundesliga after going to Europe at 18. Those that have decided to take their dislike of Bob Bradley out on his son Michael can never watch another USA match again as far as I'm concerned. If you were to build a All-Star 11 from our half of the draw right now Mike Bradley is on it. His father dissapoints me plenty.... But I just don't understand how this is misplaced onto Michael as often as it is. It's constant, signifies an uneducated soccer mind, and a lack of understanding of what it takes to win at this level, as well as the current state of the USA player pool.
Aren't you the same asshole who wanted us to go three and out so Bradley would lose his job? You suck
I'm going to be kind to you and give you the benefit of the doubt, and say that I don't believe you when you say you're serious.
This is the reason. Players have made mistakes before, without Bob subbing them. The reason Clark got subbed is because immediately after the goal, Ricardo committed a very stupid frustration foul which resulted in a yellow card. In a game we were already going to have to chase, operating with 2 central midfielders against Ghana's 3, and given Ricardo Clark's style of play, we simply could not afford to have him playing with a yellow card. Too much of a risk. I think Bob Bradley learned from the USA-Italy match in 2006. Not to suggest that Eddie Pope was card-prone, but when you leave your blue collar grit players in during a high-pressure match with a yellow card, there is a serious risk of finishing the game with a man down. You really should chill out and wait at least 24 hours after tough losses before you post on BigSoccer. Just a suggestion.
agreed. The yellow really took the punch out of Clarks game. kind of funny how prior to the tourny everyone was calling MB out for being a card-happy type player, yet he went 4 games with strong performances without a single card.
You do know all thing considered Bob Bradley's legacy is that of a bald Bruce Arena without 2002 to hang his much needed hat on
If Jozy's shot goes 2 feet to the left, we are in the quarters and Bob has equaled Bruce's resume and then some (confed cup, etc). Also, Bruce's team lost 2 games in the 2002 world cup...Bob's team only lost 1 game in 2010 world cup.
If clint dempsey got the red card he deserved in the first minute of the slovenia match... you may actually think he was a crap coach!
??? why would we think bob was a crap coach if Dempsey got red carded in the first 30 seconds of a match?? how on earth do you possibly make that connection?
If M. Bradley sucked, then you would have a problem? Which is why you have a problem? You are completely irrational.
How is saying that some players will never get subbed regardless of their mistakes and other players will... irrational?
feel free to explain rather than insult. 1 foot from glory?? dont know where that comes into play with my post
Bradley didn't deserve to be subbed, so you shouldn't have any problem. The question is stupid after how Michael played this WC.
