Visited the Colorado Rapids website and noticed Carlos V. was not on the roster. Has he finally retired? Where haver he and his hair gone?
He left quietly over the summer. However, I have heard that he wants another season in MLS somehow. I doubt that will happen. So I guess he is offically retired. Or playing in Columbia under his huge statue.
I thought I saw him... ...down on the 16th Street Mall hawking bobble-heads of himself. Or maybe it was just the wind blowing the snow around.
Last I heard, he was still talking about trying to catch on somewhere in the US. Before that, (and before being non-signed by Colorado) he was talking about playing another year or so in the US and then playing a final year back in Colombia. In any case, what happened was that the Rapids decided they wanted the roster flexibility to sign some other foreign players that they hope will contribute more to the team and make them more competitive. I'm all for that.
Perhaps the Crew should sign him, or at the very least make him a player/assistant and show players how to pass the ball.
