I thought we were all going to march in about 15 mins before game time, then I just saw everyone walking in by themselves. I thought it worked well when we did it last year. We should try it again. I think everyone was too drunk and just walked in by instinct. ???????????
yeah by the time i went to my car and came back there were like 10 people left in lot 16a...i think the march in would be awesome and definetely get some fans pumped up
I also think march in are cool but everytime I start letting people know about going in they say its too early and for me to "go right on ahead" or tell me to move out of the way cause their burger is getting overdone. And this is at 7:15! So I pretty much gave up on setting up march ins, if anyone want to get it going let me know if you see me and Ill go in with ya, but Im done trying to organize it. I dunno about you, and maybe people like to miss all the things that go on during before the game(player intros, anthem, other announcements), but to me, not being there to welcome the team in is an insult to the players.
Well, I kinna told everyone that was w/ me to start cleaning up at about 6:45. If we all decide on something now, rather than trying to organize it THAT day, we'd probably get it right. We should all just kinna meet in front of gate C at 7:15. I think if we march in we can help pump up the fans at least for the beginning of the match. The more people we can get to march in, the better.
Im starting to think so too. If Im at the game, Ill be ready to march in at whatever time you want. 7:15 sounds good for me.
Serge, I'll post something to the Yahoo list about a 7:15 march in. That might have made a difference last week. Might not be a bad idea to find out from Metro where the Korean contingent will be located and make sure we march that way around (even if its the long way around) just so they can see and hear what we do. Gotta represent. We be Black and Red Devils, yo.
Could some of the guys who went to Korea lead in that Brahms song or whatever the Koreans would sing in the World Cup? You know, the one that goes "Ooooooo Korea......Ooooooo Korea?" But insert Metro for Korea? Might win over a few friends that way.
I remember a Beethoven tune but it didn't have any words to it. The Red Devils just kind of sang along to it, the way a lot of US support hums/sings "Over There".
Best chant of WC2002. I would guess it would go: Ooooooh Metro Ooooooh Metro Ooooooh Metro Lets go....Metro LETS GO METRO (shouted) May be a keeper if it sounds good
