I found him listed on some German website. It has his last team as IFK Göteborg, but many players aren't even found in there. So he could be active at an A-Leauge type level, or maybe in Africa somewhere that this site hasn't updated. But Göteborg is a start. Also, I don't think he even played in their qualifiers for WC 2002.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Mamadou Diallo has recently signed a contract with Pahang in the Malaysian Super League (MSL), but only after multiple trials with the club that showed, while he can score goals (7 goals in 3 friendlies), that "doubts remained over his fitness and commitment."

    The more things change...

He transferred out of MLS to Al-Ahli, in the Saudi league, for about half a million dollars. Probably a fair price for him at the time - great goalscorer, but also a headcase. He played there for one and a half seasons, then went to Göteborg, was released in November, and had a number of trials pretty much all over Europe, Africa, and Asia before ending up in Malaysia.

The standard of play in the Malaysian Super League is, based on the little I've seen/heard about it, similar to the lower half of the A-League.

I thought he was playing in Sweden or Switzerland after he left the Middle East. I met him once, was a super guy

Well, yes. As was said twice in this thread already, IFK Göteborg, in Sweden, released him after one season.

I'll bet he's in vocational ;) rehab somewhere with a really bad case of bilateral overuse syndrome of the elbows.
