I don't know if X-Box or Gamecube has these, but PS2 does not. Here's what I'd like to see: 1. Four separate monitor outputs. This would be a big step up for multiplayer games like shooters and racing games. Allows you to have a larger viewing area (if you don't have a big-screen TV, four-player games can get tiring on the eyes), and prevents opponents from looking at your screen (shooters) to see where you are. If you have just one TV, one of the outputs could default to the splitscreen mode. 2. Changeable formats. Allows gamers to play games from all over the world, so long as they're designed for that console. IOW, no more mod-chip, patches, knife tricks, etc. This would be great for US gamers who want to play WE6FE.
i agree with the second one. i also hate the region code on dvd. on a trip to vegas with my father, i brought my dvds with me so i could watch them on the way chicago to denver where i can see nothing but plain fields. but alas, i forgot my father's laptop was made in japan!!
