IIRC, he was last seen in the A-League with the Virginia Beach Mariners.

why exactly is he not of MLS quality anymore? Injury, or just a decline in form?

No, MLS defenders got better. A pure speed merchant like Lassiter is no longer considered an effective MLS striker.

Well, wherever he is, I'm sure he's offside.

Surprisingly, Lassiter adding passing to his game last year. He notched several assists. Is this the end of the world as we know it?

I saw him playing in A league last year. I think his speed has diminished a bit.

I played against that guy when he was at NC State and could not believe his speed.

Man, the Mariners have a nice A-league time. Roy Lassiter, Dante Washington, Amani-Dove, etc. The last time I saw them on FSW I was especially impressed with midfielder/defender Kevin Nott. He seemed to be an MLS caliber player. Don't be surprised if they make some noise in the US Open Cup.

To the contrary, some of my fondest Roy Lassiter moments in a DCU uniform came from his passing, which could be quite good. His were among the prettier assists in the league, I often thought.
